Good News for Wisconsin Genealogy Researchers. According to a recent article posted in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Wisconsin is now required to digitize their records. Because of new federal anti-terrorism laws passed to prevent identity theft, records that were merely hand written paper documents are not going to be digitized so that backup copies can be created. What this usually means for researchers is that indexes will become available and finding records will be much more efficient.
