the best place to live in WI???

I used to think Sheboygan was the greatest city on earth, and it was when I moved here in 89'. Then Readers Digest reported that Sheboygan was the best place to raise a family in the US. Then the riff raff started to move here, bringing their urban crimes. Spray painting stuff, breaking into everything they could, throwing garbage everywhere. Now everone is moving away to get away from the hoodlums. The cops try to make a bust, and then they get NAACP saying they are being to rough with the criminals. The police are always under fire from groups trying to find a lawsuit. This city has great expectations as a tourist destination, but until they get control of the streets and criminals, it will only be just another urban hell hole. :x [/i][/b]

I have ya all beaten: Anywhere just as long as it’s WISCONSIN! We have the perfect settings whether its countryside or urban, this state offers a variety just right for the pickin. Everyone is welcomed to our communities, for we display an example of what is HOME!

I'm from Kenosha which is the very south/east section of the state. It is by far the best location down here for me since living here gives a location between Chicago and Milwaukee as well as other larger cities such as Racine, Burlington etc.

We are also a stone's throw from West Bend, Madison, Janesville, Lake Geneva etc. So pretty much what we want is right here.

Even in just a few hours drive we can get to Door County, The Dells, House on the Rock, you name it we aren't to far.

So in my thoughts this is the best part of Wisconsin for me.

As much as I like the 'upper' part of Wisconsin to visit since it is very beautiful I like the 'city' lifestyle more that our area offers.

Of course everyone is different which again makes Wisconsin so great. When you get tired of the city life just travel north and things are much different. So you can have it all in Wisconsin.

So in the end I guess depends on what you are looking for you can pretty much find it in Wisconsin.

I agree with both of you! Wisconsin is the only place I want to be.

I didn't see anyone mention the Coulee Region. I lived most of my life in Sheboygan and it will always be my hometown, but I'm really liking it out west here. The bluffs and river are beautiful. There's plenty of shopping and the cost of living is a lot cheaper. We still go back and visit Sheboygan a lot (family there) but I wouldn't want to move back there. If we ever left this area, it would be because we're leaving the state, and I don't see that happening any time soon.
