Support Your Milwaukee Admirals Hockey Team!

The Milwaukee Admirals may provide the biggest and best bang for your buck in terms of entertainment value in the city of Milwaukee. For the past severals years the Admirals have been playing hockey in Milwaukee with little to no media coverage and advertising. With a new ownership group lead by Harris Turer (and minority owner Ben Sheets of the Brewers) the Admirals have once again been working to advertise and draw more fans to the Bradley Center. Promotions like Country Night and Bobble Head giveaways, more and more fans are begining to notice this best kept secret in Milwaukee.

The Admirals only have four more home games this year. The team is currently in second place in their division, fighting to take over the top spot. This Friday, March 17th, the Admirals take on the #1 team Houston Aeros. The team will be wearing special St. Patrick's Day jerseys and will auction them off after the game to benefit the Milwaukee Admirals' Power Play Foundation. Fans 21 and over will also receive a special pint glass curtesy of Mo's Irish Pub.

The last home game of the year, on April 14th, is Fan Appreciation Night. Fans will receive a team photo as the enter the Bradley Center and tons of prizes and fun will be had all evening long.

It would be really nice if Milwaukee and the surrounding areas can all come out and support this team as the regular season comes to a close. Tickets are very cheap - $15, $17, or $19 depending on where you want to sit. More information can be found at the Milwaukee Admirals website:

http://www.milwaukeeadmirals.com

And please note: I am not someone from the Admirals organization. I'm just a season ticket holder of the team who would love to see the Bradley Center packed with fans in the next couple of weeks. Support your local sports teams!!

All upper level tickets at the Bradley Center will be sold for just $2 !! That's right, only $2 !!! All proceeds from the sale of the upper level tickets and $2 of each lower level ticket will be donated to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin so come on out, check out some hockey and have a good time for not so much money!

I was flying into Milwaukee from Detroit at the end of March and I saw all these young guys with hockey bags getting on the plane. Me, assuming, and putting 2 and 2 together, guessed that they were a college hockey team traveling to the Frozen Four that was being held in Milwaukee that week. It just so happened that when I got on the plane one of them was sitting next to me. So, of course, I had to ask what college he went to. He replies. "I'm a hockey player". I go "Well is your school going to the Frozen Four?". He goes "No, I play for the Admirals". Boy, did I put my foot in my mouth!! ops: This guy looked young enough to be in college...lol.

Major Goolsby’s to Host Admirals’ Viewing Parties

The Milwaukee Admirals announced today that Major Goolsby’s Pub and Grill in downtown Milwaukee will be hosting three viewing parties for the team’s three road playoff games against the Hershey Bears in the 2006 Calder Cup Finals.

The parties will take place for the games in Hershey, starting on Saturday, June 10 at 6:00 p.m. and then on Sunday, June 11 at 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday, June 13 at 6:00 p.m. There will be drink specials courtesy of the Miller Brewing Company.

Fans will be able to watch the game via the B2 Network commercial feed on the big screens at Major Goolsby’s. The play-by-play call of Aaron Sims will be heard over the speakers. In addition, the parties will feature promotional fan giveaways and items to raffle off at the intermissions of each game.

Should the series require a sixth and/or seventh game, they would take place at the Bradley Center on Thursday, June 15th at 7:00 pm and on Saturday, June 17th at 7:00 pm
