I had posted this in the Watersport enthusiast part of this forum but thought this would also be a great area as it will affect us all either for pleasure or business due to tourism.
I just wanted to make everyone aware of the Great Organization that is now undertaking a huge task of opening up the Locks that separate Lake Winnebago from Green Bay. This will allow boaters to go from Green Bay to Lake Winnebago without having to trailer.
This opens up great opportunities for Water enthusiasts and Business's on these bodies of water. Imagine being able to take your boat from Fon du Lac to Green Bay for Lunch. Also imagine the tourism that will be brought to the entirety of Lake Winnebago due to being opened up to most of the Great Lakes Boaters. This is an exciting time for Boaters, Fishers, travelers, and everyone in Wisconsin.
The task is projected to be completed by 2009 but needs members and donations to keep it going.
