OnYourMark, LLC (the publishers of theBubbler.com) will be publishing a website, http://www.WisMusic.com devoted to Wisconsin musicians and music fans.

What should the site look like?

We're thinking about a forum format.

What are your suggestions for categories? Anyone here want to get involved? Post your answers here and we'll refer to them as we develop the site!

A few things I would like to see happen on WisMusic:

1) Definitely the things above, esp.
"Who is playing where?
Bands Available
Instruments for sale
Musicians Seeking Musicians"

2) A list of venues, esp. a listing of venues looking for bands. This would probably be a part of the same listing as "Who's playing Where?"

3) Agent, studio, publicist, association, music store, lessons, etc listings

4) Information about the industry as pertains to Wisconsin musicians, inc. interviews and help/advice articles.

Thanks for the offer, Paige. WisMusic.com should be a relatively easy one to get Mods for ~ when it comes to music, (nearly) everyone's a critic and many of us can get passionate. Thanks again~!

Post your favorite (preferably LOCAL, and preferably WISCONSIN) music sites AND tell us the best and worst features when you post them.

www.MilwaukeeRocks.com is very good (thanks, Kris10). I like having a "Talent Wanted" and "Talent Offered" area for musicians to get together.

I LOVE the idea of a 'battle of the bands' sponsored by theBubbler.com one day!

Anyone interested in being a MODERATOR for the site, please post your interest in this thread. We'll be looking at your 'record' for posting here at theBubbler as a way to choose MODS.

I like the idea of playing up Wisconsin Folk music as well as the most popular genres. What do you all think?
