Indian gaming

Ok, I struggled with this one but decided to post it here and not under political.

I don't buy into alot of the bleeding hearts philosophy here., but this isn't a political discussion so I won't go there.

Govenor Doyles compacts were recently declared void by the state supreme court, public opinion supported this also.

However public opinion supports Indian gaming in Wisconsin. what's your opinion?
Personaly, I know it's here to stay. Even if we don't allow Class111 gaming, we basically have no say in the rest. (bingo)
I would like to see compacts that favor the taxpayers better. 25% of net profits is a reachable goal.
Most states have between 8-16% share of net profits. There are a few compacts that equal 25%.

I don't frequent Indian gaming, again that's just a personal quirk. If they were on equal footng with other businesses, I would, but as long as they have an unfair advantage over other businesses, they won't get my money. I travel to out of state gaming facilities if I want to gamble.

What's your opinion?
Thanx Rex

Excuse me if this reply does not fit perfectly within the original post but it is related.

As far as I am concerned they could do away with casino gambling altogether. There is nothing good that comes to anyone who participates. If everyone who patronized these establishments spent the time they spent at the casino on quality time with their children, grandchildren, parents, volunteering at nursing homes etc., what a difference it would make in both people. Not too mention the money wasted at these places, imagine the good that could be done locally.
You have one life and I can't imagine sitting in front of some silly machine hoping to win $5.00 in nickels.
If one truly wants to WIN, improve the quality of your environment and those belonging to your children.
