Wisconsin population is skewing older
With more residents retiring here than elsewhere and the state already being the nation’s 16th-oldest, Wisconsin could be headed for a period of slower growth in the economy and in tax collections, according to a new report.
Combine these with rising service demand from a burgeoning senior population, and it is likely that changing population trends are Wisconsin’s next great challenge, according to the nonpartisan Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance (WISTAX).
