I wasn't making light of the jobs lost just opining that Wisconsin can perhaps be thankful it is better off than some states.
As for the "new beginnings", I can liken it to much of what has occurred in my neck of the woods, post-Joplin tornado.. Certainly it was devastating but many have been the better for it - people that might not have moved on, people who might have stayed with the same jobs, etc. New jobs have been created due to new housing and construction on homes and businesses and so on..
History tells us that many who lost jobs have gone on to start their own businesses - hopefully the future will be brighter for many who view difficulties as opportunities.

If other states are worse then it means there is no where else to go but try to find a way to make ends meet here. Getting to be more and more people in this area fighting for the same few jobs.
