Mill closure expected to rattle central Wisconsin economy

The closing of Wausau Paper's brokaw mill is expected to ripple through central Wisconsin’s economy, likely hurting everyone from grocers to truckers, officials said.

The loss of those jobs will drain roughly $27 million annually from the central Wisconsin economy and could spark an additional 650 layoffs in a number of sectors, that depend on the mill for work

I heard about this in the morning today. I work in the printing industry so it affects us. You need more choices for paper suppliers because it keeps the prices down due to competition.

I hate to see more people lose their jobs and that was a main employer for that area.

I bet the price of TP goes up again.

I did that a long time ago when I was 1st married and had very little for income, especially on those 3 weekend between paydays.
