This event could deal a devastating blow to life on Earth as we know it. Same thing happened in 1859. Although we didn't have near the amount of technology that we have now, it effected life here is a truly adverse kind of way. It knocked out telegraph. and the trains didn't run on time.

I found this YouTube video that features an interview with Astro Physicist Michio Kaku, a good friend of mine. He never was the sort of person that would "sugar coat" the truth.
