What Were You Doing 5 Years Ago?

So, what were you doing 5 years ago? 10 years ago?

5 years ago, I'd just split up with then-GF Cindy and moved into these apartments...

10 years ago, I was living in Virginia Beach with my brother's family..

5 years ago... 2006 I was living in Madison area Wisconsin, working at a credit card call center, also working cash jobs on the side to survive & raising 2 teens ages 15 & 17 (now 20 & 22) as a single mom.

10 years ago... 2001 I was living in Sheboygan WI, working as an office manager for an auto repair shop full time during the day & had a 2nd shift full time job running dip tanks at a factory where we produced parts for xray machines. On weekends I helped at the local napa auto store as a sales rep, I eventually dropped the factory toward the end of that year & went full time with napa... I was a singe mom of a 10 & 12 year old at that time (been a single mom since I was a teen).

10 years ago. Wow, so different thinking back then. I was extremely busy at the school volunteering and I think I was the President of the PTO or maybe just voted in. Married, had a house that I loved with great flower beds, and thinking when our family was grown I would be living a nice life with my husband, blah, blah. lol Oh how time can change things.

5 years ago. My Mom had passed away a few years before, trying to get use to losing her. So many other relatives passed about the same time. Seemed as if Life changed alot then. I was still married and living here (kenosha) but he was showing signs of a mid life crisis coming on.

3 years ago feels like the everything crumbled. He was getting ready to leave for Iraq.

This past year, was a totally mess.

If I knew 10 years ago what life would be 10 years later I so would have made way different choices.

To bad we can't have a magic ball to look into to see what is coming and we can have an option to change things before it hits us.

I do believe the next years will be much better.

10 years ago I was doing the same things I am doing now and living in the same place. Nothing has really changed here.

The same for 5 years ago. The only new things I'm doing now that I wasn't 5 or 10 years ago is my genealogy research and spending time with the grandkids.
