Wisconsin: How Will You Observe Memorial Day 2011?

How will you observe or spend your Memorial Day this year? Any special plans?

Let's not forget the real reason we (should) observe Memorial Day:

Memorial Day is a day to remember all the people who have served - and are serving - in the armed forces; our surviving veterans; and to honor those who have died in past wars.

Memorial Day is a United States Federal holiday celebrated on the last Monday in May. It honors US men and women who died while in the military serving our country. It first began as a celebration for Union soldiers of the American Civil War.

On Monday we always drive to all the cemetaries that has relatives and friends and stop at each grave and pause to think of them.

The weekend of, the kids plan to have a garage sale at my daughters with many donated items and leftover things she had from another sale to help raise donations for their school field trips this summer.

In year's past I would have attended our local Memorial Day parade (in Rochester, NY).. not even sure they have one here in Carthage.

Always a great idea to cook out. Think I will stay away from steak tho since the last time I ate it on Mother's Day I choked!

The kids were suppose to have a large rummage sale on Sat and Sun but it shows rain for both days.

Not sure if we should chance it or not.

Our problem is we're not allowed to have our own grills and there are only 6 grills on this street for all these apartments..

Guess I would use my family size george foreman then.

Kinda not "cooking out" in my mind.. I love cooking on a grill, especially roasted corn and hamburgers.

It rains every year here.

One time we thought we would make it to all the cemetaries we needed to stop at and was going to the very last one and suddenly out of no where it started to rain with the sun out.
