Re: Wisconsin: 200 Dead Cows

Fortunately authorities say there is no threat to humans or other animals. But still it is a bit unsettling to read headlines that says 200 Dead Cows in our state after recent stories of huge number of Birds and Fish found dead elsewhere.

I don't know about what other people think but this is strange how in just a few weeks we keep having stories like this.

Re: Wisconsin: 200 Dead Cows

There is a vast amount of factual information MISSING in that "story".

As one who has had a career in dairy farming and then in retirement running a few head of beef, I think there is much, much more to the, at this point, "non story".
Shame on the AP.

Exactly which "authorities"? And how can they say that with out knowing what the cause of death actually is?? They can't say that!!

If it was IBR/BVD then there is an immediate threat to the local deer herd.
If it was a toxin in feed then there is a danger should these carcasses be harvested and included in other feed/or pet food.
Was it a bad several batches of vaccine??? If so there is great danger to other farmers who are considering vaccinating their cattle.
and that's only for starters, I could go on and on and on....

sheesch....

My thought exactly. I actually researched and tried to find additional info on this story before posting and could not find anymore than what was given in this article. Sounds like a possible cover up, or just not wanting to say any more than neccessary at this point.

Thanks for posting I was hoping someone could add to this concern.

If I find any additional articles I will post them as I find them.

Too funny Dave, maybe you should start thinking about mass producing little foil hats, you may make your fortune in them someday.
