Friendly volunteers warmed the freezing cold and windy night. One of the event organizers, Scott Larson, shared with us the light display was to help the less fortunate in the community. Admission was a simple gift of sharing your food with others. When we spoke with Paula Jero and Karen Isaacson, volunteers sorting donations, their mood showed that they enjoyed helping others and were in the Holiday spirit. The sound of laughing and good-cheer filled the air. We than interviewed Santa. He was taking a break from the promise of the many children soon pulling and tugging at his beard. Santa said the 14-degree (F) weather felt like a “heat wave” compared to the North Pole.
