Thought since we all like to talk about the 'weather' we should have a place to discuss it, especially with a long cold winter is on it's way....
Check this out:
Weekend snow up north could reach 8 inches or more
Parts of northern Wisconsin and the Twin Cities area could be whomped with 5 to 8 inches of snow or more this weekend.
The same storm system is likely to bring showers to southeast Wisconsin on Saturday.
Your right, the local weather says maybe up to 8 inches but it can change each hour, it's the weather lol.
Today was around 38F or so when I checked. The ground was still warm so if we do get any snow it wont stay but.. the 10 day forecast calls for at least 8 of those 10 days with a chance of snow.
I can't wait for the next big blizzard around here. I have a truck and a snow blower, bring it on
Note to self: remember how PO'd you were last year when you pulled the blower out during the first snow storm and discovered the flat tire?

Well the grass and roads are snow covered but I don't think we'll get much. The weather station shows we received 2.1 inches so far.
Looks like Minneapolis might get up to a foot.

I have a friend on facebook that posted some pics of the Fall Snow they are getting. Have to admit it's pretty when you are looking at someone else's yard getting filled with the white 'stuff'. LOL
We didn't get any snow here yesterday or last night either. Although it did rain quite hard for awhile. I'm just glad it didn't freeze or we'd have been coming home on icy roads!
OK, really nasty weather out there right now. Tornado sirens earlier and bad storms flew through. Read it was going to hit really hard as close as the south end of Racine which is just north of us.
So today high 60's and tonight they are calling for a big drop down into the high 20's. Possible snow tomorrow. Crazy Wisconsin Weather again!!
Anyone here sustain any damage from the storm today?
I drove about 3 mi. with 1/2 in hail coming down. It really sounded nasty hitting the windshield. ... haven't checked the car for dents yet.

When I got home this early this morning it was 44 degrees out. It was dismal looking but mild. Now just a few hours later the temps have been slowly dropping and it's 33. Calling for snow this afternoon. Guess we had to expect it but I sure did like the 44 much better.
Well it's almost here...it's being predicted that we will get our first major snow this Saturday.
I will be driving to Madison Saturday morning & back home the same evening. My daughter & her fiance are heading to the Dells area (to see friends & his family) later today & returning to IL on Sunday. I truly hope the weather permits. Wouldn't be the first time the weather people would be wrong
They are predicting 3 to 5 inches of snow for here tonight. I don't know if we will be going to Cave of the Mounds to hear my son's fraternity group sing Christmas carols there if the roads are going to be bad. Plus we have to go to Platteville tomorrow for the Badger Camp Telethon on tv. But that's not until the afternoon so maybe the roads will be good by then.
