Things to do in Minocqua

My girlfriend and I are going to spend a weekend up there after getting a great deal on a hotel in November. We're planning on hiking some of the trails there and having a few drinks. What else does Minocqua have to offer?

Since you are into hiking another option might be to go kayaking. They have a lot of great small rivers up there. I went kayaking up there once and loved it. I think the outfit was "Adventure Canoe & Kayak", but don't quote me on that, but it was a local company in Minocqua. They can recommend several different rivers based on what you were looking for.

If I'm not mistaken we stopped at a deer park? in Minocqua years ago. We had our kids with us at the time and they could not get over how you could just walk up to the deer in the field and see them close up. Seems like there was other animals and paddle boats that was lots of fun. Most likely not something I would suggest for the time of year you are planning on visiting but just wanted to throw it out there as something to do in the area.
