Comedy Clubs in Wisconsin?

Ever been to a comedy club in Wisconsin? If so, who was the headliner and how did you like it?

I once did a stand-up routine at a comedy club in NY as part of a contest.. what a nerve wracking experience! 5 minute routine that I ended up ad libbing because someone before me did essentially the same shtick I'd planned on doing! About 300 people in the audience..

I've been to the Dells Comedy Club in the Wisconsin Dells a couple of times. I don't remember who the opening acts were either time, but the main act was a comedic hypnotist. I think he was the owner of the club and the show was hilarious. I don't know how much of it was actually staged with the people they picked from the audience.

The second time we went was when our youngest was 18. He told us on the way there that there was no way he was going to go up on stage so don't try to make him! When we got there, he was the first one to raise his hand and go up! They picked several people and made them do silly things! LOL My son said afterward that he was partially aware of what he was doing and just went along with everything because it was funny! They taped the show and we bought a copy of it. Hmm...we haven't seen it in a long time...I should get it out and watch it next time he's home from college! LOL

People have tried to talk me into being hypnotized for various reasons.. I can't see it working with me.

We've been to a number of comedy clubs in Milwaukee or Madison. Some are still there and some are gone. I can't even tell you the names of any since it's been so long. Can't think of any well known comedians that we ever saw. Most were unknowns to me.

I miss the comedy stage at Summerfest. I wish they never got rid of that.

Come to think of it, I can think of a few well knowns that we saw...Judy Tunuta (Juuuuudyy), Rich Hall, Unknown Comic (in Vegas) and Gallagher with his sledgehammer. Other than that, mostly unknown comedians to me.

We did see a hypnotist once and I think that was the funniest thing I ever saw. I wonder too if these people were faking it or not.
