Kinda like a 2 part question here Dave.

If I could live anywhere in Wi it would be right around the South/East area where we live now. We are in the city of Kenosha but the only change would be to go out in the county a bit and not quite right in the city.

There is so many things to do being so close to major cities such as Madison, 2 hours away, Milwaukee less than an hour, and Chicago app 1 hour or so. But yet there are beautiful small lakes, woods, parks, Lake Michigan, the beaches if you want to get away and have fun.

Shopping of all kinds, restaurants of every variety of food, entertainment, you can always find something to do.

Education for the kids was top of the list when we moved here and the schools in Kenosha has it all.

Housing was great when we first moved here and even though it seems that taxes are quite high but go else where outside of the city and they are lower.

Now

Kenosha has a great bus system that easily takes you all around.

Many condos to pick from.

Not one but many clinics, hospitals, and means to get health aide.

Large Church Festivals/bingo/etc.

Casino about 45 minutes north in Milwaukee.

Train depot that can take you to Chicago or other suburbs quickly.

Great bike trails through out if you like to walk or get back into biking someday.

Many free concerts down by the beach all summer long.

And you would be a Wisconsinite.

I'd live closer to Milwaukee. Lots of things to do, plenty of stores, bars and restaurants. I find the people are usually friendly and down to earth. More job opportunities for me. I feel more at home in Milwaukee than I ever felt in Madison.

I'd probably live in the suburbs so I can still have my quiet neighborhood and a back yard.
