Kenosha Man Nabbed By SWMO Cyber Crimes Task Force

Found this on my local newspaper's website:

CARTHAGE, Mo. -

Kelly W. Smith, a 49-year-old Kenosha man, was charged with distributing and possessing child pornography today at an initial appearance in the U.S. District Court in Milwaukee.

Federal agents arrested Smith in the 5600 block of 37th Avenue, Kenosha, Wisconsin at 11:12 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2010 on suspicion of possessing child pornography.

Strange that I missed this article. I did a search of it and it took looking pages into the google search on news for kenosha and found it several pages in on the 4th of Feb. Always something going on in a large city, surprise it made it all the way to where you live Dave.

Hope they throw the sick guy in prison for a long time.

There's a lot more of these sickos out there than most people realize. They either don't get caught or it doesn't make the news. I've seen a number of sex offenders getting caught lately in our paper, but most are from Beaver Dam or around that area. Either they have more sickos or they have some good cops that catch the guys.

I think punishment should be castration.

The problem is they are everywhere. Doesn't matter if you are in a big city or little town. You just never know.

I've looked on the sex offender site and I've seen people I know. That freaks me out. I don't want to see anyone I know.

Yeah, I actually know a guy that is on there. It's a sad story really. He was in 'love' with a girl that wasn't quite 18 and he just turned I think 19 almost 20... She got pregnant and the parents filed charges on him.

He was a great guy that would have taken care of the baby etc. Anyways, because they filed and he had to go to court and she wasn't quite 18 he now has to have the stigma of child molester tagged on him. Sometimes like this story it's just not fair.
