Wisconsin to ban phosphorus in dish detergent starting July 2010

It could soon be the end of your favorite dish detergent here in Wisconsin. Governor Doyle just signed a bill banning the use of Phosphorus in dish washing detergent. While the chemical might be great for your dishes, but may be bad for our lakes and rivers.

I think that's the stuff that's responsible for some "suds" in our rivers.

In the western counties here, where many product & grocery store distributors come out of Minnesota, we have had that wimpy dishwashing detergent for several months now. It does not do a good a job on average kitchen type grease, and is lousy for cleaning the walls/back splashes above the sink, around the cooking stove and the exterior of the refrigerator..... pisses me off.

What are we going to wash our dogs with when they tangle with a skunk - a mixture of Dawn used to work but won't anymore.
