Funny thing I learned on a trip to Black River Falls a few weeks ago.
I met and talked with a fellow for a couple of hours. He'd been from a city in Southeastern Wisconsin all his life. Pulled up roots and settled on a very rural road on the outskirts of Black River Falls.
We talked about how much lower the cost of living was for everything there...or so I thought. Turns out the one thing that cost him more was car insurance.
Higher car insurance? Yeah. Because of all the deer-car accidents and other critter-car accidents!
Now, if only we could get those critters to get coverage; maybe that'd bring down costs a bit.

Keith
