I know we have mentioned pizza in other threads, just thought I'd start a "best pizza" thread to give everyone a chance to tout their favorite pizzeria..
Delivery or DiGiorno? Where do you get the "best pizza in Wisconsin"?

Hey Dave
since you started this thread with a question why not tell us what you think is "best pizza in Wisconsin"?
For me it was Frank and Pat's now Frank's in Appleton And Cranky Pat's in Neenah. It is the same recipie thin crust delicious but costly.
But then my wife makes an awesome pizza in a dutch oven while we camp.
She usually make a "Hawaiian Pizza" ham and Pineapple

It's also hard to say who has the best since some like deep dish, some like it hand tossed and a little thick, and still others like it paper thin. I prefer a thicker crust and love pan pizza. To me the crust makes the pizza. I will eat thin crust, but not my first choice.
Pizza Man in Milwaukee has very good pan pizza, but never tried their thin.
I also like Pizzaria Uno for the buttery tasting crust.
Their BLT Pizza is totally great. I get to where I really crave it and we have to get it. Then I end up eating way to much and think...oh, I can't eat this for awhile and next thing you know...I am craving it again! lol
We ate a good thin crust here a few years ago. Would like to go back here and get another some time. Just so many places to eat that sometimes we don't get back to a place for a second try for awhile. Especially when you get into Milwaukee.
We usually buy the 18" pizza thin crust, sausage, cheese, green pepper, and mushrooms here. Sometimes we get half with pepperoni. It's large enough to really feed us and reasonable.
Not the very best but still good enough to order and enjoy.
Nice small restaurant and the chicken is also really good here.
I have to say even though the pizza's I mentioned are really good, especially Leonardo's and Kaiser...still no place is better than the ones we like to go to across the border in Illinois. (sorry Wisconsinites). Real Chicago Style pizza is the best. And you can find it at Quonset in Waukegan, Louies in Waukegan, Pizza House in Zion, and The Other Place in Winthrop Harbor. I could name many more further into Illinois closer to Chicago but I think I said enough. lol
(oh I guess I will say that Kaiser's is an Illinois pizza, with the original pizza restaurant in Gurnee, IL and then they brought one up here just a few years ago in Kenosha).
A few weeks ago we tried frozen pizza on the grill. I liked it but I think I was the only one.
We've done that and we've also taken the take-n-bake pizzas along camping. Put them on the grill. For breakfast I think it was, too.
I have a recipe for a cheeseburger pizza on the grill. That's made with a Boboli crust.
I was thinking we had a thread on pizza already not that long ago. Cindy had mentioned something by Lake Geneva or Elkhorn I think. Then someone brought up Filippo's in Milwaukee. Maybe that was the best restaurant thread.

They should teach St. Louis how to make a pizza. Those are awful with the strange processed cheese and crust with no yeast in it.
You ever go to Giordano's? They used to have one at Grand Avenue Mall, but they originally came from Chicago. That's where we first had it. We had a stuffed pizza if I remember right.
Yes! Great double decker pizza. There is one in Gurnee, Illinois we have been to as well as Milwaukee.
We ate at the one downtown Milwaukee a few years back but tried to find it again and I think they moved? I remember liking the old building it was in as we sat next to the long old windows that over looked the street and all the lights.
Oh I also remember across the street was an old apartment high rise that quite a few apartment had their drapes open and the lights on. lol I could not do that knowing people could be eating pizza across the street looking up at me when I walked around the room of which we saw several different 'views' like that. lol
I will say that the pizza was good, the entertainment was boring. lol
God I have gotten so hungry reading this, PK my dear rember that Kiasers is a transplant from the other side of the cheddar curtian. That is why I think it is the bet so far other than the Quanset Pizza. I was lucky enough to Find a pizza place called north end at a close by air base. Not to bad, man then guys get all the good stuff.
Hands down, the best pizza I've ever had was at the Upper Crust. They are located in Pell Lake between Lake Geneva and Genoa City in Walworth County. I haven't been there in over a year now but my mouth starts watering just thinking about it. Yummy!
I previously mentioned having pizza at the camp site. Well here is a Hawiian Pizza made in a Dutch Oven while camping. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm it was good!!!!!!
cooked perfectly from my photo archives I found a picture

Great picture John...made me want to just reach out and grab a piece of the pizza. Hey wait...I think I did get a piece of it, it tastes as good as it looks!
Looking at the links for pizza, I forgot about Rosati's Pizza. I've been to the one in Pewaukee, which is carry out and the one in Oconomowoc, which is dine-in also. I've tried both the hand tossed and the pan pizza and both are good. I love their garlic bread with the dipping sauce they have.
Edwardo's had a good stuffed pizza when I was there a while ago. Not sure if it's as good anymore.
Ned's has a good pan pizza with a different kind of airy crust. Almost like bread.
