Weather records are made to be broken — and Madison struck down another one in July.
This year, Madison recorded the coolest July in 118 years, and forecasters are promising an August on the cool side as well.
Doesn't sound like heat will be around at all this summer. Works for me but I'm sure heat lovers are really hating this news. Makes me wonder how this Fall is going to be. Beautiful or very short?? I know so far my flowers are really confused and I noticed yesterday yellow leaves dropping off one of my trees.
In a normal summer if someone glanced over and read that Madison broke a weather record one would just assume it was for a heat record, not a chilly record. Strange.
But again, as I keep saying....to me this has to be my all out favorite summer. If I could live somewhere that the weather was like this all year I would be totally happy.
Not my favorite summer at all, been too cold. I don't like roasting hot 90s either, but I do like to wear shorts all summer long and forget about my jacket. I love to go barefoot and have the windows open in summer. I love to sit outside on the deck, especially in the evenings when it's warm (not hot). I've heard many complaints about the summer being too cold this year. It's got to be affecting the water parks this summer. Glad I don't own a swimming pool, because it would be getting no use from me. Water takes a long time to warm up.
Pk, weren't you the one that was complaining about winter cold all winter? LOL I get to remind you of that this winter.
Hard time convincing anyone of global warming now. Last few winters and even the last couple of summers were cooler than normal. I don't remember a lot of warm nights last summer either. More than this year, but not very many.

You won't have to remind me, I'll be the first to start complaining about the cold and will continue all the way to Spring. lol
I don't do well in the Winter with my TMJ and between the cold and lifting heavy snow when shoveling almost does me in. Last Thanksgiving it all bothered me so much I sat and watched everyone eat all the tons of food we made because I was in such pain I could not eat a thing.
But on the other hand, when it gets really hot it bothers me mainly because of the blood pressure meds I'm on. I'm not suppose to get out in the hot sun with them. Besides I hate to sweat. lol lol
Oh, to make me happy a nice 70 degree day is perfect. Not hot, not cold.
I noticed this summer even when it's in the 70s it still feels chilly. Why is that? That doesn't seem right.
It's pretty sad when I bring one of my potted plants in the house in the middle of the summer to keep warm at night. Just trying to make it grow faster since it's being too slow.
No thanks on the TMJ. I have enough problems when my sinus teeth pain acts up. Wish I knew a solution to it.

Actually I wondered that to but I'm guessing it's because we have had a drier summer? Maybe humidity makes it feel warmer. 70 and humid is warmer than 70 and dry?

I agree 100%... I'd love to live where the weather is 65-70º year around.
I loved that we had a cool (for the most part) summer, but i also dislike the freezing & snowing in the winter... I'll be complaining right along side of you, until Spring lol
