Just seen on the news that Michael Jackson passed away today.

Entertainer Michael Jackson has died after being taken to a hospital on Thursday after suffering cardiac arrest.

Saw that.. not to mention Farrah Fawcett has died today as well.

The Net is awash with rumors Michael will return as a zombie, ala Thriller

In any case, a great talent and tragic public figure has passed on.. RIP

The Michael that many of us grew up with is the one we like to remember. He had such talent at his young age and dazzled his fans as he floated across air in the early '80s. Too bad his adult life was troubled by the inner demons that haunted him. All the fame, talent, and money didn't save him from his self destruction and his desire to try and change himself.

Look at Diana Ross' earrings lol. How many children can sing like this? Now many. Most don't develop good vocals until a later age, if at all.

I don't think I ever appreciated his talent until (well after Thriller) I was watching an in-depth interview with Gene Kelly (of Singing in the Rain fame, among others).

The interviewer asked who the most talented song-and-dance man in the world was and Kelly replied instantly, "Michael Jackson!" He proceeded to praise Jackson to no end. High praise from a supreme talent that made me appreciate Jackson's gifts more.

Still, talk to most guys my age - especially if they have kids - and the first thing is "Never Neverland."

Saw Charlie Rose's tribute interview with Quincy Jones and others this morning. The focus was on the great talent. The song-and-dance man that singlehandedly pulled the music industry out of the doldrums, that united fans of 8 and 80, black and white, US and around the world.

Rest in peace.
