Mountain lion seen in northwest Wisconsin for first time in century.

They haven't been documented in northwest Wisconsin in a hundred years, but what appears to be a wild mountain lion is on the prowl near Spooner.
The animal, an adult male weighing 120 to 130 pounds, was seen Tuesday by a homeowner about 15 miles northwest of the Washburn County city, about 100 miles northeast of the Twin Cities.

No mountains in Wisconsin. That big cat must be lost. In that photo, it looks more like a Tree Lion.

Very cool.. I've seen tracks in the wild in Colorado but never run across a live cat in the wild.

If I'm not mistaken the Black Hills are about 1,000 miles from here. A long way to travel for any animal I would think.
