Nov. 29-- 6 pm, it started to snow. The first snow of the season, and the wife and I took our cocktails and sat by the window watching the soft flakes drift down over the area. It was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!
Nov. 30-- We awoke to a big beautiful blanket of crystal white snow covering the landscape. What a fantastic sigtht! Every tree and shrub covered with a beautiful white mantle. I shoveled snow for the first time in years, and loved it. I did both our driveway and our sidewalk. Later the snowplow came along and covered up our driveway with compacted snow from the road, so I cleaned it again.
Dec. 2-- The sun has melted all our lovely snow. Oh well, I'm sure we will get some more before the lovely winter is through.
Dec. 10-- It snowed 8 inches last night and the temperature dropped to 20 degrees below zero. Shoveled sidewalk and driveway again and the snowplow came by and did its trick again.
Dec. 11-- Sold my van and bought a 4x4 Blazer so I can drive in the snow. Bought snow tires for the wife's car.
Dec. 12-- Fell on my butt on the ice in the driveway. All that was hurt was my feelings.
Dec. 13-- Still cold (below zero in the a.m.) and icy roads make for very tough driving.
Dec 17-- Had another 14 inches of the white sh** last night. More shoveling in store for me today. That goddamn snowplow came by twice.
Dec. 20-- We are assured of a white Christmas because 13 more inches of the white sh** fell today, and with this freezing weather, it won't melt until August. Got all dressed up to go out and shovel (boots, snowpants, heavy jacket, scarf, earmuffs, gloves, etc.) and then I got the urge to pee!!
Dec. 23-- I was going to go ice fishing this morning, but my worms froze and I didn't want the fish to break their teeth on my bait.
Dec. 24-- If I ever catch that son-of-a-b**ch that drives that snowplow, I'll drag him through the snow by his pants. I think he hides around the corner and waits for me to finish shoveling, and then he comes down the road at 100 mph and throws snow all over what used to be my driveway and lawn.
Dec 25-- Merry Christmas! They predict 20 more inches of the effen white stuff tonight! Do they know how many shovels full of snow 20 inches is?? To hell with Santa -- he doesn't have to shovel that white sh**. The snowplow driver came by asking for a donation. I hit him over the head with the snow shovel.
Dec. 26-- We got 20 inches and then some. I must be going snowblind or have a severe case of cabin fever because the wife is beginning to look good to me.
Dec. 27-- The toilet froze. If you go outside -- don't eat the brown snow.
Dec. 28-- I set fire to the house. Now that white sh** won't cling to the roof!!!
lol yesterday my daughter and her friends were helping with the driveway. They were all out by the road doing the mouth of the drive when the plow guy came through. They all stood by the end of the driveway in a line and waved at the guy. He waved back and turned the plow so it missed the opening of our drive. Again later he went through, they did the same thing. Saved our drive from his snow.
So, that's how it works? Just wave at the guy? After he left thigh high snow at the end of our driveway on Friday, I just want to give him the one finger wave LOL.
Funny to think that occurs no matter where you live.. not to mention many a mailbox has been completely destroyed by plows as well.

OK, I 'accept' that I HATE the cold!
I don't even want to look outside today and yet I have to get kids up and out in a few minutes and have running to do all day. Not looking forward to it.
Misty hit the snooze button this morning - ended up having to get Krystal up and dressed for school and out to the bus in 14 mins! They made it!
Of course, Misty was like an icicle when she came back in..

Oh I really dislike when I over sleep and have to move everyone out the door in seconds. lol It is surprising how fast you can throw things together and run when you have to. lol
I know we are suppose to be trying to save fuel etc. but I ran the van for almost 30 minutes before we got out there this morning and believe it or not it was still only blowing cool air when we left. It took until I was driving back home from the school that it was blowing hot air out of the heater. It was COLD out this morning.
