What you've been paying for propane?

For those who own their tanks, wondering what you've been paying for propane. I've found a price $.60 lower than local but I'm 15 miles beyond their route. Price ranged from $2.30 to $1.39 per gal., minimum 300 gal.

Re: What you've been paying for propane?

To rub salt into a wound. I don't want to complain, well maybe a little. There's probably some self serving reason that propane is still so high. The wholesale price is $.93. $.93. I'm replacing all the propane appliances.

Re: What you've been paying for propane?

Maybe Sarah Palin can send some of that propane she keeps talking about down to us.

Re: What you've been paying for propane?

The only time I can recal using propane was at our farmhouse when I was a kid..

Anyone still using coal these days? I can recall stoking our furnace with that back in the day!

I have a couple clinkers around here somewhere. I've heard stories about burning coal but when I was a kid we had natural gas.

Re: What you've been paying for propane?

We had a coal furnace back when I was about 10.. stuff stunk and you got pretty dirty shoveling the stuff.

I know we had propane tanks at the farm when I was a kid, but I know we had steam heat.. we had the cast iron radiators in the rooms and fireplaces in almost every room too. It was a big farmhouse.. 19 rooms in the main residence, 7 in the basement, and another 7-10 in the attic. Great place to be a kid!

Wisconsin Propane Prices -

Is that propane a whole lot cheaper than buying the small tanks for the barbecue grill and that sort of thing?

Are the prices on small tanks of propane down now, too?

Regards,
Keith
