Rustic Roads of Wisconsin

A mention of Rustic Roads in another topic made me think of the many times we have traveled down roads marked 'rustic roads' while riding around in Wisconsin. It's one of my favorite things to do. Now is the time to really take a scenic drive with the fall leaves almost at their best and even peaking in areas.

What rustic roads are favorites? Do you have a rustic roads you like to go to during the fall season?

Here's a great website that shows a map of all the rustic roads in the state. Just click on the area you would like to see and it tells all about the road, a map of it and how many miles it is.

I've never done that but it sounds like a lot of fun and a great opportunity to take some good pictures.

For an even better experience ride your bicycle on those roads. You see more detail at a slower more relaxed pace.

I have some pictures that I took while going down a long beautiful road where it was like a tunnel from all the trees. I'll have to find and post some.

I totally love rustic roads especially in the Fall. There is one in Lake Geneva that is so beautiful that I love going down, the colors are just awesome.

We have alot of areas like that here in the Ozarks.. Fall is a beautiful time of year here.

I remember the one time we visited the Ozarks. Beautiful everywhere. In fact we took a helicopter ride over the waters and other areas so we could see it from the sky. Really could see how breath taking some of the areas are.
