And that brings me to another question, didn't we have a topic with a poll on the Presidential Election? Sure it was here and placed in one of the forums but can't find it now. With only 3 weeks left it would be fun to have a poll in the fourms for those that would like to vote could do so.

For those of us that watch ALL MY CHILDREN make sure you watch it tomorrow. (or tape it). A tornado is coming through the town and it's going to be very devastating to everyone. The filming is suppose to be on the top filming they say.
lol for those that have no idea what is AMC just skip this. lol You have to be an addict of the show to care. But it's going to be sad for those of us that are.
Also, for those that watch and did not hear, Myrtle has passed away in real life.

It's about 6:30 a.m. and I'm getting ready to take my daughter to school soon and she is complaining that's it is pitch dark outside. Feels like winter is right around the corner....

lol yeah..it's becoming a nightly thing lately. Fall asleep in front of the t.v. and wake up a few hours later and can't go back to sleep again...so what to do? Get up to go to the bathroom and of course the computer is on the way there......lol lol
Ended up doing an all-nighter myself...quite productive, too. A couple quick breaks to check in at theBubbler. Then a great morning meeting with a prospective client that theBubbler community and OnYourMark could be quite involved with and proud of (hope to have great news in 2 weeks to a month). Then lunch downtown with a couple of friends and advisors, and now I'm working from home for a bit till I CRASH.

Love to see bump there to keep the conversation going...should be fun for our LOGIN party November 3rd. Great to remind everyone to VOTE. Hopefully our site will continue to be one in which people can articulate without polarizing which we've been quite fortunate to be able to do for a long time.

Yeah, funny coming out of work when it's dark, too.
I have a little toot toot today and I'm not talking about eating too many beans. I just got a letter in the mail saying I was selected for the Who's Who Among Students award where I went to school..woooot!!!
Is that considered bragging? I can't help it because it made my day. To think in high school I never even made the honor roll. What a difference it makes when you go back to school as an older student and have to pay for it yourself.
Ok, time to get ready for Halloween and work on my costume. Anyone else into Halloween? I love it and it's my favorite holiday.

My daughter received something like this in the past from Who's Who. But when we looked into it we had to pay $$ to get her name in the 'book'. Kinda took the fun out of it. But maybe your letter is for something different...anyways, congrats.

Last night...Joe the Plumber won. John McCain took second, and the miserable Barry Obama came in a sniveling last.
Funny thing how people can watch the same thing and come out with different perspective on things.
Joe the Plumber after over 20 times of hearing about him from McCain got laughable.
Obama showing his usual calm, professional manner and bringing the subject back to the issues that American People wanted to hear about and away from McCain's ranting came in first.
And well that leaves McCain dragging up the end with his temper ready to come apart. He just did not sway me over to his side at all, in fact he continues to make me not interested. In fact he and Palin scares me every time I think of the pair running this country.
But again..that's just how I saw it. Everyone to their own views.

I looked around the corner and all I saw was a pile of leaves and squirrles running with peanuts
I didn't get to watch the debates but, not to make this a political thread, my prediction is McCain to win by an overwhelming margin. And I base that not on polls or pundits but on the scores of comments I've seen on various sites from "regular joes" who parrot the same three words over and over again: Obama Hussein Muslim. My take is it's not about Obama being "Muslim" (which he's not) but it's a smokescreen for plain out racism. Much as I hate to say it, from my what I hear, America is not yet ready for a black president. Hope I'm wrong..
Remember, Gore was ahead by a huge margin at this time in 2004 and Bush still won.
Hey, I found some great things at a thrift store today.. getting my Christmas decorations at the ready. Bought some really cool animated (and musical) ornaments and I think I'm gonna go for a full size tree this year and invite some neighbors over.
Listen to me.. talking about Christmas already! I want snow and lots of it!

If anyone has a sense of what the average Joe (plumber or otherwise) is saying on the internet, it's you, Dave.
That said, I hope you're wrong too, and more than a little afraid that you might be right.
By the way, devoted the last couple of hours to the political thread, my most overtly political public statement in my life, at Wisconsin, swing state for 44th President
My 16 year-old daughter is a Waukesha field-office campaign intern and I'm quite proud of her. If she can speak up, guess I can and should too.

I couldn't have said it better... i agree 100%... i finally watched it all!
It's unfortunate, but this countries racism just may play a part in the outcome, i agree. However Obama IMO is the better of the two & if McCain ends up in office we will later hear those racist who voted against him (for that reason) trying to defend their choice & not wanting to admit that they messed up yet again, as so many did with Bush, not only once, but twice... it will be yet another sad situation for the USA.

That could be, I have no idea. I will check into it, because I'm not shelling out any more money. I paid for both the national and international honor societies. At the very least I can still put it on my resume as was selected for blah blah blah. That doesn't cost me a dime.
It's Friday! And remember tomorrow is Sweetest Day! And please don't tell me it's a hallmark holiday. I went to two stores to buy a card and there was very few to pick from. In fact the section for it was really small. They had more Happy Boss Day cards.
So, let's keep this holiday alive and well and wish your sweethearts a nice day tomorrow and do something nice. What's wrong with having a special day to stop and remember those that we love? Life can get so hectic, it's great to get a day once in a while to remind us.

Did you try the Hallmark store? There is nothing wrong with having a day for that... it's called Valentines Day.
Good Morning everyone, it's finally FRIDAY & i work half day, i took off the other half to get my nails done!!
Valentines Day is also a nice fun day. But everyone celebrates Valentines Day around the country. Sweetest Day is mainly around the midwest if I remember correctly. So it makes it less commercial, I like that.

Primarily a regional observance celebrated in the Great Lakes region and the Northeast,
Observed the 3rd Saturday in the month of October, Sweetest Day observance originated in Cleveland in 1922. Herbert Birch Kingston, a philanthropist and candy company employee wanted to bring happiness into the lives of orphans, shut-ins and others who were forgotten. With the help of friends, he began to distribute candy and small gifts to the underprivileged.
Ugh, Keith, how was I supposed to get my Bubbler fix yesterday? I had to get other things done then. Actually, I was bad girl yesterday, I didn't get a thing done and I had all day off work. I spent the day surfing the net. What a bum!

I'm really sorry. I hope you'll get a double fix this weekend!
