Hey Blue, I picked up a bottle of Rum Chata yesterday while I was in Boscobel. When I stopped in the bar last night, the bartender mentioned how good it was and that no one sells it in our county for some reason. I told her I had a bottle in my van so she had me go out and bring it in. We opened it and everyone there had a shot. I have to say that it was pretty good and everyone else liked it too! I'm going to have to pick up another bottle and take it to my sister's birthday party next month.
Well last week must've been my week for winning. When I walked in to the bar last night, the bartender handed me $250! She said I won in the football pool on Sunday. I had never played a football pool before and when I was there last Saturday, I saw other people signing up for squares and I asked how it worked so thought I'd try it. It must've been beginners luck I guess.
I've never been in a pool before either, but my husband used to do those with coworkers. He won a few times. It paid for exercise machine in our basement and for one of the items we have hanging on our livingroom wall made by the Indians. I don't remember what it's called. I was going to call it a mandala, but doesn't look like the things I looked up. I'm calling it the round fuzzy thing with beads and feathers and dangly bits.
I guess I had the name correct. It is a mandala and also saw it spelled mandella. The fuzzy things are called wool tails according to one website. Having one in your house is supposed to bring prosperity, good health and happiness. I see it's worked out very well for us. LOL
Glad you liked the Rumchata, but you certainly can't drink a lot of it because is so sweet.
It is sweet and I only had one shot last night. But next month, when I go to my sister's birthday party, I'm sure I will have lots more...especially since I will be staying overnight there and won't be driving home.
I have my second round of chocolate cupcakes in the oven right now. I'm going to decorate them with heart candies and Valentine sprinkles. I'm making a double batch so my son can take some back to college with him on Sunday and my other son is stopping by tonight so the grandkids can open their gifts and I will send some cupcakes home with them too. I'm also going to deliver some to the elderly neighbors across the street later. That way, there won't be many left here to tempt me nor my husband either.
All snow is annoying especially when I have to drive so far in it. Other drivers make me nervous in snow. It took me over an hour to get home tonight because I had to drive so slow...so anybody that says they like snow so much can kiss my butt! LOL So there!!
Anywho, let's talk about something else besides the weather. I already know that the weather sucks.
Cinnamon roll cappuccino from Kwik Trip warming me up. I'm hooked on this flavor. Not sure if I like this flavor better or the chocolate cupcake cappuccino from Speedway. Someone needs to come out with a peanut butter cup flavor. Maybe not or I'll have to keep buying it. Sounds too addicting.
It looks like a good day to mosey over to the boat at Marquette, Iowa for some gaming. Don't forget to buy your Powerball ticket for the drawing tonight...it's over $300 million now!
Picked up 3 powerball tickets. Didn't have my numbers with me so I went quick pick on them. Really didn't care to see multiple repeat numbers in 3 picks but I guess it probably doesn't matter. I'm sure my odds are the same.

I dont know what killed her, but she fought the battle of her addiction many times. It was bigger than her & she lost the battle a long long time ago. Still sad news.
This doesn't come as a surprise since she has battled addiction for years. You can thank Bobby Brown for that. One of my friends had his Facebook status as: Good night, Whitney Houston and burn in hell, Bobby Brown. lol
They suspect that Whitney drowned in her room at the hotel after falling asleep on the prescription drug Xanax. She was apparently on them for anxiety. Of course that story will change 100 times before the autopsy results come back.
I grew up listening to Whitney. They are now saying her daughter has the same addiction (cocaine) and she lives with Bobby Brown. I hope someone helps her before it's too late for her too. Bobby is already a lost cause.
