I headed out for my vet apt in Indiana.... my alternator went out in Little Prairie. I had to get to the vet because I thought my skunk had a stroke.
Called my friend in Sullivan who came to my rescue and drove me and my skunk all the way to Indiana for the apt. We were 1/2 hour late.
We also stayed infront of the storm. In fact IN was 48 degrees!
My skunk did indeed have a stroke.....there were other complications and the best thing I could do for her was to help her cross over.
I came home with no skunk. To let her continue she'd have been suffering and in a day, a few days or a week later I'd have been racing her back to Indiana for the same thing.
Bye Bye Sweet Angel
Carol, so sorry to hear this. It's hard to let go of those little ones, isn't it? Bless you and Angel, rest in peace.
Sorry about your skunk, Carol. You had to go all the way to the state of Indiana? That's a long way to go.
Boy, I'm having a hard time trying to file for unemployment. I did most of my claim online, but still have to call in to complete it. I called all day long yesterday and the line was busy. The shortest wait was 30 min when I got through...forget about waiting that long. Today I called and after going through their 5 min spiel, they tell you to call on the next business day. I just hope they are there on Monday and not having the next 2 weeks off or I won't see anything until January.
Thanks everyone for the get well wishes. Still feel like crap so hopefully my doctor gives me something today and not tell me to "let it run it's course". Three weeks worth of trying to let it run it's course. I am done.
As for my trip.......It was a nice trip down. My oldest son who is 21 went with to help my daughter and her best friend load up their stuff. Made good time down, but.............
On the way back out of Eau Claire, they were all talking 100 miles per hour and we missed our exit not knowing we did. So........(cry cry) after driving for like forever not realizing we were not going the right way....we ended up in Rice Lake. Over two and a half hrs North West of Merrill. I just wanted to bawl. I was not feeling well, thinking I was making good time coming back and not really paying attention to where I was going. So at the risk of embarrassing myself to my friends here, I Kelly, got lost without realizing it. We never got back home til almost 9pm when we should have gotten home about 6:30pm. Not to mention the gas hog of a vehicle I have so that was a lot more gas money I couldn't spend that I didn't have.
Carol, sorry about your beloved skunk. It is so hard to have to put an pet to sleep. Been there!
Kelly
ps...No snow here as of yet. Thank God!

Fingers crossed for you.. and nice you can file online for the most part.
It used to be such a hassle to file, I think I've only filed for unemployment 5 times in my entire life.

I think I'm switching to diet Pepsi and then It'll be beer and pizza later. I'm going to try the new Leinie's Riverside Nut Brown. It has a hint of chocolate taste to it according to my husband.
OK, you're going to think I'm stupid (and blind), but which are the tabs you're talking about because I don't see a difference? The multi-colored bar at the top?

No, not that far up, just at the top of the thing LOL. OK, if you click on the Wis. forums category to show all categories, then you should see it. The tabs are for each section of the forum like general Wis., hobbies, recipes, sports and so on.

You mean...click on forums and then that drop down box comes listing the different catagories??
I click there all the time to refresh and my fav is "New Post" I think it's been there since we switch over to here though......
below the drop down menus and on the bar across the top of the category. In the view that I'm in now I can't see it. Have to be on the Wis. forum folder to see it.
So hard to explain it in words. Click on the "forums" drop down menu and the click on "Wis. forums." You should then see it.
