I even put a sticker on my grandson's head for awhile when he kept putting his head down on the table and wanted to doze. lol He was going for 50 cents! Decided to take it off before someone really did offer me some money. lol

I thought I was the only one that still hung laundry out. I have a new front loading washer and dryer set but nothing is better than hanging the clothes out when you can.

I picked up 2 really nice ....old nice...nice old cabnets that at one time were uesd in a mud room. Plus I got 2 old santa pictures and was lucky enough to stumble on a home interior figure set that I once had but now all busted up. Got it for a buck!
Really I don't see what all the fuss was about with people not wanting the statue. It really isn't that noticeable and you probably wouldn't even see it when driving by. It isn't next to the street exactly, but sits in a bit on the river walkway.
How about that fall color and the warm weather? I would say the color is at it's peak right now.
Oh, can I just say I don't like where the sponsored ads are in the middle of the threads listed. Then when I go to click on the hide advertisements it takes me to my edit profile and I don't seen anything there to hide that stuff.
I actually don't mind them so much. I think we could benefit though if they were blended a bit better, color-wise.
What browser do you use? Firefox has a plugin that blocks ads. (I use IE)

I just noticed those this evening. They would be better color-matched. Of course, we'd have to change them with every season as theBubbler design changes - and then it still wouldn't match up for people not using the 'default' design for theBubbler.
Nevertheless, at least we NEVER use popups. And the ads generally have a lot to do with the content, which should make them a bit more appealing.
Still, if the software suggests you should be able to change settings and you can't, that's misleading - and certainly NOT intended.
If you care to take the time, give examples with URLs and where you're clicking and end up and such in the Private Support forum.
My son says i'm addicted to reality shows, if it's reality i'll dvr it... currently i am behind & have 14 episodes of wife swap & trading spouses that i need to watch & delete.

I've added this to private support.
We'd like to keep these (revenue!) but we want to make them match the 'Halloween' or 'Thanksgiving' or other seasonal theme, and to place them a bit further down in the topics. Finally, we shouldn't have a 'remove these ads' link that doesn't work. Sorry about that.

The ads I'm talking about aren't in the threads themselves, but in the list of topics within a category. If they were always there, I probably wouldn't even notice, but all of a sudden they appeared yesterday. We humans dislike change sometimes. I just think they belong at the top or bottom, instead of breaking up the list like that. Remember, I'm a designer and if something doesn't look right, I'm sure to notice it.
You should have heard the whining at my graphic design forum when the site design was changed. Some people even left because they hated is so much. In that case the complaint made sense. With the new design it required more scrolling to read. Everything was all the same color (white) with no lines or color dividing one person's post from another. Us designers sure are a picky bunch.

Yep, there was no reason to list that option if it wasn't an option. Great to see that the 'remove ads' link was already taken care of.
There are 'Themed Ads' at Google which should help us make those feel more a part of the Halloween and Thanksgiving and other seasonal themes here.
We also moved them down a bit (thanks, Mike - I think) so that the ad wasn't right after the first topic. Now after 5th or so, making topics more legible, still keeping ad on bottom of 1st screen for lower res monitors.
Cool that you're into a design forum. The experience shows with you and several newer Members who are quite active. That's cool.
So, forgive the ads, please...just trying to make a livin', pay the rent.
Weird... When i checked in earlier it read as '3 new posts', checked & there was 1 ad nothing else... later i checked & it read '7 new posts' and still the same 1 classified. Now it reads that there are '4 new posts' and the same 1 ad appears lol either i need a nap or something funky is going on around here... or both maybe? : )~
I have done nothing since 11am... not one thing!! been sitting on my azz surfing the web, taking walks to look outside *sigh* i'm soooo bored i could just fall asleep at my desk & we are gonna be this slow tomorrow & Friday too... it makes up for being so busy the past 2 wks, but i prefer to be busy, at least time doesn't stand still... i wanna go home

I don't go outside to smoke at work, it helped me cut way back to avoid smoking during those 9 hrs of the day. Here at home i smoke only in my bedroom, but mostly in the garage, if i had to go outside in the winter it might help me quit all together hmmm i may have to try that some day... however i just bought 10 cartons, so it wont be anytime soon lol

Cool thing - a client called this afternoon just to say how happy he was with his site ( www.BuBsIrishPub.com ) - booked dozens of parties and the site's only been up three months - and he said he got a friend of his to come here to sell something that he hadn't sold in 6 months on CrapsList...and he sold it in just 2 days here!
