Oh...there's Arthur's in Spring Green for filet mignon, but we don't go there often. The last time we ate there it cost us $65 for steak dinner.
Even the choices of going out to eat steak is plentiful around here. I'm to tired to think of the many places but top of my list is still TEXAS ROADHOUSE. Has to be the best steaks around.
I think it made a difference that I was doing the calling for a good reason and not trying to sell something boring like siding or windows but still it made me appreciate the hard work telemarketers actually have and the boredom of the jobs they do so that I try to at least always be friendly, polite and nice as I'm hanging the phone up on them when they call.
Exactly! I only use the radio on the guy who keeps calling from Yellow Pages trying to get us to place an ad with them. I've told them "no" and asked to be removed from their calling list numerous times but they still keep calling me! Grrrr!
One reason Cindy and I moved here was because there were so many great places to eat here (tho some of my favorites have since closed)..

Let's see...South/Sheridan, Pershing, 52nd Street, West/Greenbay, North on 30th, Way West out on the highway, I think that may be all of them? Not sure.
Well here we are talking about food again. LOL I think I better head off to bed before I decide to go see what I can find in the kitchen to snack on! Don't want to spoil my "Cinderella Pact". I still have another four pounds to lose before Easter.
Don't fall asleep in front of your computer Patti! I won't be on here to yell and wake you up tonight! LOL
ha..I think you know me too well on here Cindy because I am just about to fall asleep. I think I will get off from here and get to bed. My alarm has been going off by 4:45 and that's only in a few hours.
So we thought we found my daughter's pet alligator, but it turned out to be a very large lizard. The lizard was very friendly however. It would come running when I called to it and nuzzle my hand. My wife didn't care much for it, until the lizard picked a flower for her, handed it to her, and then walked off on it's hind legs...
...this is what happens when I don't eat my ice cream before bed!
Just checking in quick. Had quite the scare the other night. Hubby was acting funny so I made him sit down and then he started having a seizure. Had to call EMS and get him to hospital. They ran tests but everything was ok except the seizure made his heart rate get out of whack so they kept him there. Hoping today he gets to come home, but we'll see what they say. It scared both of us pretty good, but he was more scared not knowing what was going on. Imagine last thing you remember is sitting in your house and then you're in an ambulance. I had to run and get the neighbor to help me. When I think about it, probably a dumb of me to run out the house when he's having a seizure, but you don't think when you panic.
He was pretty upset about having to go back on his medicine because he hates the side effects. He was also scared about being stuck in a hospital for weeks again, but that's not going to happen. At least he's in town here so I don't have to drive too far. He's also upset about his license being suspended again. I sure hope they don't make him take all his tests over again since he just did all that.
I'd settle for a uneventful life for a while. This is getting to be too much. Go pick on someone else who deserves it instead of the nice people.
Wow, glad to hear it wasn't more serious and you got him to the hospital ok.. hope he gets to come back home soon.
I'll never forget when Misty's son Eli had his seisure and we had to rush him to the hospital.. so I have some sense of what you went thru. Very scary, indeed!

My goodness Blue! You sure have had more than your share of bad luck. It definitely needs to leave you alone and go away now. I hope your hubby gets to come home soon and they find out what caused his seizure too. How scary for the both of you!

That sounds like a dream I would've had if I DID eat ice cream before going to bed! LOL
Well it was another busy day here for me. I cleaned my house, cleaned the carpet, scrubbed the bathroom floor with a sponge on my knees (that darn hairspray doesn't come off with a mop), cleaned out my bookcase and dusted the books that haven't been read in awhile, ran to the bank, Wal Mart, the post office and the gas station, organized both desks in the office and threw out old papers and magazines and finally got to watch "The Tourist." Oh...I also went through a bin of clothes I had from when I was a few sizes smaller and some of them fit again! I even found something to wear to my son's fraternity concert so I don't have to go buy a new outfit for that now. Unfortunately, I am quite sore from doing so much the last few days, so I will spend tomorrow just baking cookies and maybe watching "Little Fockers."
Here where i live now in IL, we have a KFC with a long john silvers in it.
Hard to believe but we actually don't have a Long John Silvers anymore. The one we had burned down and they never replaced it. I totally love LJS and now have to run to Gurnee, Illinois by Gurnee Mills if we want any. And that one is actually connected to a KFC, must be an Illinois thing.
One thing that is newer around here is Subway's in the Super Walmart Stores. Does everyone have a Subway or a fast food place inside their Walmart stores?

Wow Cindy you must have one of the cleanest houses around there. lol You tire me out just reading all of that.
Reading the part about how you dusted the books you haven't read for awhile...makes me wonder. Why does everyone keep books (me included) that we read and if we were really honest with ourselves, will never read again in our life time??
I can see keeping certain books such as The Bible, certain cookbooks with the best recipes, how to books if we really go back and use them, and maybe a few totally best books ever but how about the rest? Have you ever looked at your used books and wondered why you keep the collection that you do?
I guess I am wondering since I have been going through a ton of 'things' lately trying to really scale back and decide what to keep and what not to and I have a ton of books. An older children's book collection, a bunch of older and really old cookbook collection, my kids books from when they were smaller and books from even when I was young, lots of books that I 'hope' to read someday, I mean a bunch of them that I most likely will not be able to make a dent in the pile in a lifetime. lol
So what is really necessary to keep and what should be sold or given away?

He come home yesterday. Now he has to be on a couple of different meds which I'm hoping isn't forever. We won't know until we talk to specialists since when talking to the general physicians and nurses you get differing opinions. I don't blame them, they aren't trained in a specialized field like that. They can't know everything.
Now I'm back to doing the driving. Not too thrilled about that. Especially sucks since it's warming up and we get more adventurous this time of year. Vacation plans aren't going to happen in May as one of plans were. Our other option is Aug. since those were the weeks hubby asked off.

You 2 have been through sooo much! Glad he is home and wasn't stuck in there too long this time.

Good to hear that he is back home again! I hope the specialists can figure out what caused his seizure and make him all better.

Just wondering....
Well, I got rid of all the books I didn't want a few years back when I had my huge yard sale. Some of the books I've kept have sentimental value such as the set of Bible Stories books and the set of Book Trails, all of which we learned to read from when we were kids. A big majority of my books are cook books and Gothic novels that I love to read over and over. Some of the others are informational books such as books on History, gardening and landscaping. Then there are the travel books from New York, Canada, Oklahoma, etc. There are my husband's and my high school year books and now my youngest son's eight middle school and high school year books have been added to the shelf. And of course, what book collection would be complete without The Lord of the Rings Trilogy?
Okay, so I stepped on the scale this morning and was shocked to see that I had lost 5 pounds this week! Yay! All that cleaning must have helped more than I thought! That puts my total at 30 pounds lost now since January 4th! I will have to be careful this weekend because we are going out to eat after my son's fraternity concert with my sister and her hubby. It shouldn't be too bad though since I'm sure they will choose the Chinese place to eat at. We're also invited to an anniversary lunch this weekend for my SIL's parents but I don't think we'll go to that.

This is the kind of stuff that can test a relationship and give opportunity to draw even closer together - not that I wish this on anyone. I've ben through more minor tests in my marriage, and each time I've grown closer to my wife. My only advice is to focus on what's most important, look at the good that can come from the bad, and lean fully on Christ. I'm praying for you two.
Got our van in to make sure it is ready for the long drive next week. Only cost us ove $960! #&*@#&! CARS! But, it's fixed and hopefully ready to go. It's a good thing we just took out a line of credit through the bank as a cushion.
I really hate to throw out books, mainly because I am so picky about which books I buy in the first place so they all either have a purpose or mean something to me.

Went to the grocery store earlier and spent $131.. already had quite a bit of meat left from last month in the freezer so barely fit all the new in there but after taking some stuff out of the boxes, I managed to fit it all in.
