Today was a better day on the slow progress. Hubby answered a few questions of mine with a yes. He made a pouty face at me. When I said, "Aww poor sweetie," he said "Aww back to me. I know he can hear us now. He also said yes to something the nurse and I were discussing about his work. He was listening in on us.
Tomorrow he is out of ICU and his fever is under control. I really do think everyone's prayers are working.
It must have been good.. my neighbor finished the last of it for lunch today!

I clean the two laundry rooms here at the Complex on Sundays and Wednesdays.. the one I do is clear at the other end of the Complex and I just got caught in a surprise downpour walking back.. it was really coming down! I'm soaked!
Have to have my blood sugar checked.. I was shaking and feeling weak earlier so bad, I couldn't hold onto anything and felt like I was going to fall over. I ate something quick and am just now starting to feel a bit better..
Heard rain is coming our way soon. Hope it holds off still doing yard work and trying to get things done for winter before it gets really cold out. Worked outside all afternoon today and was sooo tired tonight. Fell asleep watching T.V. and just woke up a bit ago. Now I'm still so tired but can't go to sleep since I took the edge off with my 'nap'. I hate when I do that.
Anyways, hope you are feeling better Dave. I also will get it where my sugar drops at times. Sometimes I end up just eating cookies, or drinking some pop really quickly to feel better again. I try to keep some candy, or a small package of cookies, etc with me or in the van for 'emergencies'.
BTW, where has j10asen been? He hasn't checked in lately. Come to think of it, Ken seems to be missing, Toes and Latina too. Where are they all hiding?
It has been very "slow" here lately.. particularly during the day. We also had some connection problems and that never helps as people get frustrated.
Hehe, out of all the "members" we've had register in the last 48 hrs, I bet only 3-4 were legit.. I know I probably banned at least a dozen!

Good morning! Looks like another beautiful day out!
It's been a busy last few days here. Yesterday, I got all my yard stuff put away into the utility shed and then I hauled all the patio furniture off the decks and put that away too. I left out two chairs and a small side table until after Thanksgiving. That way the smokers can go out there and smoke their cigs since I don't allow it in my house. I also took my van in and got the axle problem fixed that was recalled recently. They gave me a new vehicle to drive so I could go do my errands while they worked on mine. I think they are trying to get us to buy it from them.
Today, I am busy cleaning and organizing things. I need to get rid of some old, outdated food in the basement freezer so I will have room for the turkeys I need to buy next week for Thanksgiving. I beginning to wish I had bought a bigger freezer a few years ago instead of this small one. It isn't big enough now that I have all that frozen stuff from my garden in there.
How many of you have had immediate family members who've served in the armed forces?
My father was in the navy during the Korean War and my brother was in the National Guard in Iraq during Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
Our county is working on a Veteran's Memorial site in Richland Center. They have part of it done already but will be completed as donations allow. Each war era has it's own monument. It is quite unique and will be really awesome when it's finished.
So, on Tuesday, I went to Fennimore to search the cemetery there that I was at a few weeks ago. I had gotten some information from the Grant Co. Genealogical Society saying my gr.gr.grandparents are supposed to be buried there. It took me 2 1/2 hours to walk through the entire cemetery and I still didn't find them! The caretaker showed up because there was a funeral service there and he let me look at the book of all the grave locations again and they are not listed in it at all. The book also includes unmarked graves so I don't think they are actually buried there. I also went to the next township and looked at a small cemetery there because it was closer to where they lived right before they died, but no luck there either. I am going to call the woman who sent me the info and ask where she got it from because it evidently isn't correct.

A friend of mine hit a deer last week with her Mustang convertible and then just the other day she hit another huge buck with it and this time it totaled her car. Luckily, the deer flew over the top of her convertible and didn't land on it or else her and her daughter could've gotten seriously hurt or worse! They think this buck may have set a record and it made the news on several channels. That's her husband is in the picture with the buck. Check it out:
Wow! Thank God it was just the car and no one got hurt..
Misty and I narrowly missed 3 deer one night coming back from the casino. They were so close I could have reached out and touched them. We were so lucky that night!
My ex-GF's daughter hit two deer in separate accidents a mile away from each other in the same night! She hit one, called heer mom and was able to drive her car away only to hit another deer just down the road.. that one totalled her vehicle! Luckily she wasn't hurt either..

In Wisconsin, deer hits are very common. I see dead ones all the time. Looks pretty gross when a semi hits one. Road hamburger.
Today my husband seems to have made more progress. He was trying to say all kinds of things. I could understand about half of it. He really was trying though. He told the nurse she was cute and then answered a question with darn tootin'. I'm not sure where that came from. He smiled a few times, raised his eyebrows at me and stuck his tongue out at us a few times. I was glad I caught him awake. He was sleeping after he got his meds later on.

That's good to hear Blue! I hope he continues to make progress.
