I think mine was caused from a hiccup during software installation. System said there was an error installing some drivers, I aborted and when I rebooted later, it was all she wrote..
I have an 80gb and 320gb external hard drive to backup files that I should start using more often for that purpose. Some of the pictures I lost weren't that important but were irreplaceable as I'd deleted them off my camera.
The non-destructive restore left all the apps on my cL drive but most do not work now and have to be reinstalled.
I'll most likely do a reformat this weekend but have to find a few of my application CDs first.

I used to know a mentally handicapped guy named Jimmy who evidently was taught it was always polite to open a conversation with comments about the weather.
He always, always started every conversation with "No more snow..". He used to help at a corner drug store lunch counter in NY. Never forgot the guy.
I'm sitting here just thinking about, who in my life left a memory that I still hold, even though I really did not know the person and most likely will never see the person again.
Two people come to mind. One way back in my elementary school days I can remember the crossing guard that use to walk us across the highway to get to and from school. I have no idea why I can remember him so well but I can. He use to give us a lollipop sometimes and really didn't say much more than hi and how are you but he was like a nice grandpa type of guy. For quite a while there was road construction and I was terrified of the large machinery, and he would walk me past the machines safely. Guess I never forgot how safe he made us feel.
Another would be the elderly lady greeter at our Walmart Store. For such a very long time she was always at the door greeting people as they came in. Finally she retired. It was only a few years ago that she left Walmart but I bet for many years to come I will remember her kind greeting as we would walk in. There was just something so sweet about her and she really made you feel as if you were walking into her home when she would say hi.

Sorry about your snow, unless of course you LOVE IT!
I will try to be a better forumite and post more often as things calm down briefly before the Xmas rush!

Bah, computer still acting up.. monitor goes blank for a second then comes back on.. hope it's the driver and not the monitor itself. Just trying to make it to the weekend before I try to reformat. Still not letting me reinstall some apps I had before.
The bad part is, this computer came with XP pre-installed and no disks. I can restore from a partition but if the partition is corrupted, I'm screwed.
So nice to see the site is back up and running. I had to start my day without my bubbler fix for the morning. lol
Well so far it's not snowing here! yeah!! It's actually a nice day out around 38 degrees. Hope it stays like that but just in case I ran to the store and got a few extra groceries. Never can have enough around here seems like.

Oh almost forgot to say that I love the new 'theme' look. Just last night I was thinking sadly it was time for the fall theme to leave and poof, the new look is here today.

Since Carol and I love to bug Dave and blame everything on him around here.... I bet the over night breakdown of the bubbler had to be his fault too. After all he broke his own computer so maybe he broke the bubbler too????
lol (just joking dave!)...
