Supper will be ready soon. We slept in until 10:00 so skipped lunch so having supper about 4:30. I've had a beef roast with carrots in the slow cooker going all day and it smells soooo good! Having mashed potatoes with gravy, white rice, sweet corn and dinner rolls with it. You're welcome to join us! You can bring the dessert.

Gorgeous here too.. t-shirt weather.. had to go to bank and didn't even have to wear a jacket.

Good morning
I put the doggie out at 9:45pm last night for his nightly routine.
What some great weather! The sky was clear and bright with stars that were as sharp as a winter sky. The moon was smiling at me. What could have made this night any better?
Answer: Camping
Now I have the camping bug in me. If April is decent ( above 45 degrees at night) we will be out there camping.
Happy camping 2010 and beyond.

That some people rob you with a fountain pen
It didn’t take too long to find out
Just what he was talkin’ about
A lot of people don’t have much food on their table
But they got a lot of forks ’n’ knives
And they gotta cut somethin’....

Still having computer problems. Haven't had much time to look at it with this gorgeous weather out. Trying to enjoy it today since they say it will be gone by tomorrow. Calling for 1-3 inches of snow. I think it will snow but just be really wet that will melt but still not in the mood to see it at all. All next week is suppose to be colder and rain/snow showers. Yuck. But remember everyone, I said this could happen and not get tooo excited about Spring yet. lol
Anyways, at my daughters so wanted to hurry and check up on emails, forums etc. Will be back later hopefully.
A very quick GOOD MORNING! Breakfast on the fly......grab a homemade biscuit, your choice of Ham & Cheese, Sausage & Cheese, or Egg & Cheese. (sorry Vegans)
OJ fresh squeezed of course and super strong coffee.
I'll try to catch up later on everyone's business.....70 degrees and sunny, so I have been enjoying my job outside! Hopefully I will have time later to plant all the tomatoes, peppers, herbs & flowers I bought yesterday. Trying not to notice how calm the water is so I don't get tempted to go kayaking and not get my chores done. Tomorrow is officially SPRING! Looks like the weather is finally cooperating, I hear it's warming up your way as well. WOO HOO!
Cheers! Yeah! It's FRIDAY!

.....just another day in Paradise
I just got back from shopping and picking up an ice cream cake for my son's birthday. We are celebrating tomorrow night even though he won't be 21 until next week since he will be back at college by then.

We are supposed to get less than an inch here and then it's supposed to be clear all next week and in the 50's. I think I can handle that.

That sounds like fun even though we're not really much into the camping thing. Our family reunion is going to be at Arrowhead Campground in the Dells this summer but we already have an air conditioned two bedroom cabin reserved for then. They also rent out campers so I reserved one of them for my other son and his family. I didn't want to share the cabin with a couple of five year olds for three days!
This is crazy.. beautiful t-shirt weather out and a neighbor just told me we have a Winter Storm Watch in effect for the weekend! Expecting both snow and sleet and Misty has to go and pick up the kids in KC this weekend!
You guys better watch out. I have the head of a baby in my stomach. Someone brought in a b-day cake with a baby photo on and I ate the piece with the baby's head on. Nothing like having your food staring back at you while you eat it.
Another one bites the dust. I wouldn't even know who this is (even though I know the song and band name), but a song probably from 1987 was written about Alex Chilton. Then one day I had to google Alex Chilton after hearing the song on the radio. He was a songwriter and musician. He was in the band the Box Tops who had a hit song with "The Letter." (Gimme a ticket for an aeroplane...) This is the song about him by The Replacements.

It just started snowing here about a half an hour ago. Nothing is sticking so far since the ground is still too warm.
I'm staying in tonight anyhow. I didn't feel like going to the chiropractor but my hubby still went to his appointment. Besides, my neck feels better today and I didn't have a headache for the first time all week so I didn't want him to mess with it.
Offered to go with Misty to pick up the kids in KC but she's taking one of her clients instead.. crazy! But.. oh, well... hope the weather holds out for them!
One of my neighbors from a couple buildings down was diagnosed with cancer just a month or two ago and died this past Saturday in her apartment. Just found out. Kinda weirds me out when I know that living alone the same could happen to me.. they didn't discover the body of my neighbor who died last year for 3 days.

I think that happens a lot more than we hear about. I remember about 20 years ago a woman who lived a couple houses from my grandma died in her living room and they didn't find her for two weeks. It was during the hottest part of the summer so she had bloated and popped. They said it made quite a mess everywhere and they had to have a closed casket at the funeral as there wasn't a lot of her left to bury! So sad!
It is a sad commentary... I only have two members of my immediate family still living and neither live anywhere near me.

Good to hear.. I like the aspect of meeting new people, etc but hate the actual act of moving.
Ditto
I am glad the actual move is over with & I have met some cool people so far. Went to a bowling alley last night with a couple friends, ended up at a bar... had a good time & was nice to get out after a long week of learning a million new pc programs at work.
was in the high 50's to low 60's all week, but started snowing around 10pm last night (of course we were at the bar 40 minutes from home!), still snowing now, but getting to be less. The wind is super cold & the temp sits at mid 30's now

We got just a dusting of snow last night and it's almost all gone already. Hopefully that's the end of the snow until next winter now!

That's nice that you got to have some time to relax and unwind from moving and starting your new job!
I think I am going to make lasagna for my son's birthday supper tonight. I gave him a choice of that or tacos and he said either one, so lasagna it is. He went to visit another friend today so I have to get busy and wrap his presents while he's gone.
I had to laugh at him when he told me some of his friends took him out to a comedy club in Madison last night and he was staying overnight at their house because he was drunk. I knew he was joking since he never drinks and he finally admitted that he had a non-alcoholic beer at the club. He said it tasted so nasty that it convinced him even more that he doesn't want to drink even when he turns 21 next week! LOL
