I been packing (@home) a bit each day, finally looks like i've put a dent in it... I hate moving, especially now that it's just me & no kids to help, but my lease is up soon & i the only other option is to sign up for another year, I think not.
Good Morning all the 75 lurking guests that haven't signed in yet.
Hope you all have a great day.
Good morning pk!
We been snowong since last night here, felt like a blizzard on the way in, because it's coming down pretty hard, making the roads slick & hard to see. I did see 4 cars in the ditch in the 10 miles to work this morning... love my 4x4.
I hope you wash the pots before using them. That would gross me out having animal dirt on my dishes.
eeew animals of any kind near my dishes would gross me out. I couldn't imagine allowing an animal in my kitchen, much less in my cupboard... My SIL does that & i wont even drink water at her house.
One of my friends posted on her FB that she did 50 min. of exercise and then 30 min. working out with Wii. I'd be pooped after all that.
I have a Wii, but no exercise programs on it...yet. I feel that since I walk about 15-20 miles a DAY that covers it. BUT! I bowl a LOT with the Wii and also golf. My legs and arms get quite the workout! Last week my son and I got into quite the competition with bowling (I'm good at it, scores ranging from 190-283, personal best so far) but the next morning when I tried coming down the stairs.....OMG! And then I had to walk dogs! OUCH!
I haven't tried the boxing program or the skiing thing yet. WHen I have more time......
We just got the Wii at Christmas.
Breakfast anyone? Since it's cold up by ya'll.........how about a hearty hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, ham & bisquits, steamy oatmeal however you like it and some hot chocolate? For some reason I am craving hot chocolate.
Fresh squeezed OJ as well.....get your vitamin C!
We have had milder weather, kind of gloomy out today though, but warm. (mid 60's)
Spring is on it's way here, time to start planting!
Happy Tuesday!

I use to feel like that but having so many various pets over the years kinda reconditioned my ways. I still won't allow my cat on the counter or kitchen cupboards but have to admit he does like to sit on the corner of the table when I am on the computer or lay in the computer drawer. I use to have a heart attack if a cat ever sat on my table but this cat is so spoiled. I also grew up with never allowing a cat in bed with us. Now this cat not only sits on the table edge, but sleeps in bed with me. And I'm not talking on top of the bed, he has to crawl under the covers with me and snuggle up to me all night. lol Never would I allow that over the years but...he is sooo cute. lol
The things pets will change in us I guess.
(oh, and yes, the table gets wiped down before we eat.)

Yikes! Hope it doesn't come our way....
What type of 4x4 do you drive? I think I remember that you mentioned it before. I really have been considering a Pontiac Torrent. A family friend has one and really loves it. I found one that is All Wheel drive, black, fully loaded with leather seats that are heated. Only 30,000 miles on it. My van has over 50,000 now and I'm getting so tired of driving a van. Anyone ever own one before?

So true! Our last cat we had (the one that died from the pet food poisoning) wasn't even allowed in our bedroom let alone on the bed or any of the furniture in the house. The two we have now pretty much have the run of the house and they both sleep with us. However, I still won't allow them on the table or counters nor my desk. They do come in the office and sit or sleep on a chair next to me most days when I'm on the computer though.

Good morning!
We got about an inch of snow overnight but it is all melted off the deck already. Hard to believe we are supposed to get another 1 or 2 inches this afternoon since the sun is shining so nicely right now.

Sorry Cindy, but there's not an animal alive that could make me change my ways of not allowing a cats ass to sit where people eat food, It's just gross to me, not to mention (again) i dislike cats with a passion. Cat hair in my bed or on my body ick ick... I know to each his/her own, it's just not & never will be for me.
I've grown up always having dogs, as a child i even had dogs sleep with me, but i don't want dog hair on my furniture, never would i allow an animal near where food is prepared & as an adult i've had a couple dogs, they were inside, very clean & knew that their place was on the floor, in their own beds etc. I hope to have a dog again one day, once i'm moved & all, but the only way it will be on furniture will be if it's small enough to be in my lap & that's unlikely since i'm a big dog lover.

OOps i said Cindy, i thought it was a post from Cindy i was responding to lol

It wasn't anything major, don't think it was even sticking, just was coming down so hard it made everything hard to see, from the road to cars ahead & the roads of course were slick.

I use to be a dog lover but not much anymore. The last couple that was brought home here pretty much tired me out. We had a boxer that 'someone' just 'had to have', (wasn't me! lol) that came from a puppy mill. She was fully grown and never been outside. I did my best with her but for the several years we had her she never quite fully got the idea of being house trained. I could never go for more than a few hours and had to run home. Not fun to be so tied to an animal.
Never have I ever let a dog sleep with me, never are they allowed on furniture, and if I had my way most dogs need to stay outside, but in Wisconsin that's not good. I didn't use to think so but the last couple of dogs we owned taught me to cage a dog at night and cage them when I am gone.
LOL No...I don't allow the cats on the table. I keep a spray bottle of water handy just in case they are doing something naughty.
When we first brought home our cat he would never sit on the table. But my computer desk is in the same room in the corner and he sits on the edge of the table trying to be 'close' to me. I think a spray bottle is a good idea to show him he will have to find a way to be close yet not sit on the table.
Other places I will not let a cat get up on is the piano and the buffet. To many breakables. Also, I have yet to find a cat that can play a good piece of music so they need to just stay off the keys. lol
Oh, and the bathroom counter! I hate that more than the table for some reason. He use to want to get up there when I was putting make up on and get all in my way. STAY Off! And don't go into the toilet either. Yuck. I can't imagine drinking out of a toilet so my cat won't get that water either. We keep the seat down.

In other words,.... give me a cat any day. lol
Well, we all know my feelings on cats lol
I don't like needy dogs either, I wont rush home for a pet, I might as well still have small kids at home if that were the case. I like a big Pit Bull or Rot... dogs that aren't needy.... oh yeah & i want him trained already, i dont have time for all that mess lol
yep, that's why i have no pets, i wont go back to babysitters when i want a vacation & all that... It would be like going back to babies... This is me time

It wasn't until we got these last two cats that the guys here finally learned to keep the toilet lids down. Otherwise the cats would be right in there playing in the water.

I use to keep a water bottle by my patio sliding door, for this ugly black cat that use to come stare into my living room. I would spray him through the screen & he'd run backwards far enough to still see me & not get sprayed, but then he'd slowly work his way back to the screen & get sprayed again.
I honestly thought he liked it, since he came back daily & at times even brought friends to get sprayed too lol
Turned out this was a stray cat & my kids were feeding it at the screen door, which explained his coming back so much & just like a male, would bring guests unannounced.
My last GF wouldn't let the dog on the bed but the cat was allowed up.. we had a Shih Tzu and after she'd leave for work at 4am, Rascal would come in the bedroom and beg to be let up so I'd let him come up with me.. we got caught a few times and she'd accuse me of "spoiling the dog" and get mad. Hey, what goes for the cat should go for the dog too
If our ferret has a mind to get someplace, he will find a way.. he crawled in my computer bag yesterday and tried to drag Misty's purse behind the couch.. he's a real trouble maker, that one!

Well....I have been reading all of the cat/dog/furniture/bed sleeping stuff! LOL! In my business (pet-sitting) I run the gammet of pet people, some who allow just about anything, some who are very strict. One lady who has 3 cats does not allow them ANYWHERE...but, when she goes on vacation and I care for them I see little kitty footprints on ALL the tables/counters and impressions on the bedding where they sleep! Kind of funny, they jump off everything before I even get into the house! I can hear their little footsteps as I'm putting the key in the door.
When I had cats it was the same way. I KNEW they were being naughty when I was away, I did let them sleep with me though, I LOVE to have my animals in bed keeping me warm at night. With dogs especially, one big pack of us beasts huddled together, very comforting.
Sorry to hear you're having snow again....but I guess it's still winter up there. Ours is done now I believe, time to start getting my plants in and flower beds re-worked and mulched. (I love having herbs/veggies/flowers....hate the work)
And I am Soooooo ready to get back out in my kayak! Going stir crazy not being out on the water. I only have 1 friend who is willing to get out there when the temps are only in the 50-60's (air) and the water is still nippy. All of my other girlfriends aren't very adventurous. Her and I are planning a day trip soon....once the weather warms up a tad more.
Time to make some dinner, it's American Idol night! woo hoo!
