wow, you really put out the spread. Must have been slaving for days just for us. I'm not sure what a couple of those items are, but if they aren't veggies, I'll try it. I did try a beignet when I was to FL last time, but wasn't real impressed. I'm not sure my workplace will want me to have a Bloody Mary before work.

You said salsa and krumpet. I thought we were supposed to be exercising, not eating.

I bet it is fun. I was looking at this Turbo-jam workout myself. I don't like a lot of indoor exercise as I get bored easy and hate having to count this or that. Turbo-jam looked like something I might enjoy and it burns up to 1000 calories an hour, depending on which workout you do. It's a combination of kickboxing, cardio, body sculpting, aerobics and dance moves. This is a workout video. I've been putting if off because of cost, but I should look on Amazon or Ebay for cheaper. The reviews on it are good and many have gotten fast results compared to other workout videos.

Listen to the video I posted and you'll probably say, oh that song!

The Knack had a retro '60s sound, although Wiki lists them as New Wave. I remember listening to The Knack on the way to school in my mom's van. They rose to stardom quickly and faded almost as quickly. They were said to be the next Beatles. Giving a band that title is the kiss of death, because no will ever be the Beatles. Their Album "Get The Knack" sold like crazy and hit number one in the Billboard top 100.

Just read that the singer had brain and lung cancer since 2006. He had been performing a show and got a headache and forgot lyrics to a song he wrote and performed for years. That's when a brain tumor was discovered.

Bananas foster is good. I've had it at Taste of Madison over ice cream. I not sure on what else. I think the reason I ended up trying it is because my brother always made fun of the name. So I had to find out what it was.

Never heard of such, but will check it out. I too prefer the outdoors, but as a good latin LOVE to dance, so Zumba is perfect for me. I can just imagine I am in a nightclub (gosh.. when was the last time I actually went to one?) and dancing non stop for an hour!

Interesting looking at how you talk about going from different pants sizes. When I was around 115-120 lbs. I wore a size 10. I'm 5'4". I wonder why such a difference between you and me. I'm trying to drop a pants size or two right now. I keep getting tempted by all my favorite foods. I love homemade bread, pasta and of course desserts. I have been including more servings of fruits and veggies, but since I don't like half the veggies out there, it gets to be a challenge preparing them different ways.

Re: Wisconsin Chit-Chat & Daily Check-in...

I am at work & get out at 10 today, but not for anything fun of course!

I have to go to the dentist for a deep cleaning (I do it every 6 months) and those are sooo painful! I wonder if that's why most people don't get the deep cleaning as much as a regular cleaning... My dentist suggests no less than once a year for everyone, but told me that majority of his clients have the deep cleaning every couple yrs or so & stick with regular cleanings otherwise... my gums are always sore for a few hrs afterwards, so i will try & eat a little something before going in.

Good Morning all... Wednesday!

Even getting out at 10 today... this 5 hr shift is dragging

no no... dieting does NOT have to be boring. Especially if you like to cook. When I followed the South Beach Diet I loved the stuff I was cooking. Actually the whole family loved it. I still receive their newsletter as sometimes they send great recipes. I will be posting the recipes I am making. you will see. Nothing boring about it! hehe

Re: Wisconsin Chit-Chat & Daily Check-in...

Good morning everyone!

I finally got the results of the FAFSA I did for my son for college next year. I am so glad to have that and taxes all out of the way. The only thing is now I am really bored and don't have much to do.

I rented the movie "Couples Retreat" yesterday so maybe I'll watch that later. After that I guess I'll have to go find something to clean so I can keep busy.

I'm trying to drop a pants size or two right now. I keep getting tempted by all my favorite foods. I love homemade bread, pasta and of course desserts. I have been including more servings of fruits and veggies, but since I don't like half the veggies out there, it gets to be a challenge preparing them different ways.
Well am going mostly through pant sizes hence also the reason am not expecting to go back to a size 4 as I am wider now, especially after kids. When I was wearing size 4, I was 121 pounds. Now... scary but am up to 163.

You wouldn't say that if you couldn't sleep well at night & had to be up at 3:45am daily to face work days that feel like they drag forever... i haven't seen a week fly by in months!
I know about not being able to sleep at nights. Usually I fall asleep around 1:00 a.m. and the alarm goes off before 5:00 a.m. I do face work days lol it's just that mine goes on all day and every evening and I never get paid for it. I may not leave to go to work but I am running all the time doing things for everyone here, and working on getting some projects done that hopefully will soon be bringing in some cash. (long story). .. but anyways, my days usually do drag by only because they are alot a like each day. ...

But still each person's life is their own I guess and it's hard to understand what another person's life is like sometimes. Hopefully yours will get better soon I know you mentioned that changes are coming so hope it is great and your days will be better.

Thinking about it, I really don't know what is worse though, days that drag by or days that go by really fast..think about it, if the days go by fast, doesn't that mean that we are just getting older faster?? lol

Seems like no matter what it's hard to win.

I am just under 5' 5" and when I was in a size 3 (years ago!) I was just 110. Guess people all carry their weight differently.

I unfortunately suffer from going up and down that life's scale all the time. Right now I am experiencing the life of being on the up side of that nasty scale. But I do remember when my son was 5 (he's 14 now) I did not diet, but changed the way I ate and lost 75 pounds in less than 6 months time. I had everyone thinking I was dying or something.. lol But I think it's time for me to do that again. I may have looked like I was dying but I felt alot more alive and energetic. lol
