I would hope that anyone who has peanut allergies knows better than to go to Texas Roadhouse lol & yes this is true, great steaks & my son wouldn't get off his lazy butt last night & go with me, so i didn't go bacause i didn't want to do it alone, something about sitting in a restaurant like that alone that just isn't appealing to me.

Likewise, on a napkin on the table & it annoys me when my son throws his & makes fun of me for using the napkin, but whatever at least i dont have to clean the mess lol
Not me.... today is the 21st....starts my busy busy busy weekend. So if I go MIA you will just know I've got a heavy pet sitting schedule
I lucked out for the 1st time in forever.....my daily Mon-Fri walks wrap up for the week of course, and except for ONE cat visit at 2pm (vacation ppl), everyone else leaving for Thanksgiving doesn't leave until starting TOMORROW!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!
Then of course, you won't see me until Jan. 3rd! ha ha ha!
(I hate the holidays.......)

I'll give ya'll another slant on the peanut shell thing at these places that WANT you to throw the shells on the floor.....
I worked once at Longhorn Steaks in Nashville, on Music Row as a bartender. Our biggest pet peeve were the people who (get ready....sorry!) put their shells on a napkin, or collected them on the bar for us to clean up.
We had a dustbuster behind the bar, and as a joke when people did that, we would take the napkin, dump the shells, continue "dustbusting" them and reach over and empty the shells onto the floor.
Customers would just crack up at us.....but that was the whole point of the THEME of the bar/restaurant....making that "shell mess" on the floor! At bar close, it was SO EASY just giving the bar back $10-$20 to sweep it all up.
Even our manager at the time, when he saw someone being "polite and neat" with their shells, would saunter up, strike up a friendly conversation and then say "excuse me", lean over in front of them and swipe all their shells onto the floor.
Cuz, ya know.....that's where they belong, right?

Mornin'!!!
It's a love/hate relationship as far as Nov/Dec for me.....on one hand, this is 1/3 of my yearly income here in less than 2 months. (yeah! I still have a job!) On the other hand......I don't get those quiet "family" times, relaxing dinners, company coming over, holiday parties, etc. I MAY get an hour break mid-day, and then be done at 8-9pm. I have to be very careful to eat right and try to rest on the 5-6 hours of sleep I get throughout the season nightly. It seems like every year I get sick at Xmas.....go figure.

I'm still sick from last week when I complained about it. At least today I have a slight voice, but that wont last. It will be gone by the end of the day.
Oh yeah..about the peanut throwing part... I STILL have a difficult time doing that. I just wasn't raise to throw food on the floor! lol lol
There's something about throwing them on the floor that makes you feel naughty, like you're getting away with something. Then you get the added pleasure of not having to clean up after yourself. Go ahead and throw them, the oils are good for the wood floor.
I once was a waitress dump a bucket of peanuts on the floor. That made me laugh. If she can do it, then we all can!

LOL that's funny, I know that is the point, it's just me, i'm weird & the 'making a mess on purpose' thing is just not me, however my son ALWAYS empties my napkin on the floor before we eat. I think i kinda do it now so he isn't disappointed & has something to pick on me for & it seriously seems to give him joy to toss my peanut shells & laugh at me lol

I was without family for many years & would let my kids go to their dads for all holidays, just so i wouldn't have to deal with it... i still put up a tree every year & bought them gifts to open x-mas eve etc... however, on Thanksgiving & x-mas day i'd let them go to their family for a couple days & i'd work. having no family around makes it a sad time for me (which i do have a few family members around now, but still not part of their celebrations).

Love the Paradise video, Carol. Suuuuu-ey! (That's how you call a pig, for those of you who didn't grow up on a farm.)
Blue, I could use your talent today...I'm putting together a print ad for our teacher's college. Has to be done by 5:00 and, naturally, I haven't started it yet. Wish me luck.
Have fun with that! Are you using Word? I hate using Word, it's evil.
Thanks, Blue. I'm sure I'll have LOTS of fun.
I put the ads together in Photoshop and then convert them to pdf. I used to have an old version of Illustrator, which I loved, but it fried along with my old hard drive and I can't get it to install under Vista. So...I'll just use Photoshop; it's not worth the investment for the latest Illustrator--we don't create THAT many ads. But I sure would love to play with the latest version.
