We had so much fun tonight playing Sequence with our son and listening to the "oldies" on the local radio station.
I love 'family' nights when we all play board games. Doesn't happen around here very often though. My favorite is dice games especially Yahtzee.

Oh well.
I slept in this morning too. Hubby wanted oatmeal for breakfast so that's what we had along with some whole wheat toast. He is off to work now and I'm going to work on tax stuff in a bit.

My youngest heads back to college this afternoon. It sure was nice having him home for this last month. He is anxious to meet his new room mate from Australia. I hope they get along well and he's not a big drinker.

Yes and he was "on time" if running an hour late counts as on time, but he did call to say that. He had to wait for his wife to get home to watch their kid. He didn't finish the job is coming back either today or tomorrow. He needed to get more supplies or something, plus his daughter was sick and he wanted to get home for her.

Good! Now hopefully he doesn't wait a long time again before coming back to finish the job for you. Ya have to wonder how he stays in business when he does things like that! That wouldn't fly in a small community like ours. You can't go to the bathroom around here without everyone knowing how much, what color it was and how long it took you. LOL

I would really like to find a copy of the Bertha Butt Boogie song some where. Anyone know where I can get one?
I never heard the Bertha butt song, but I did find a youtube vid of it with lots of big black women's butts in thongs. Lots of ewwwws. You should go on youtube and find Eddie Murphy's Boogie in Your Butt song. Your son might get a kick out of it. I think years ago they used to have more humorous songs on the radio than these days. I remember some from the '70s and '80s that were funny.

We don't get to do that anymore with games except sometimes at family gatherings. Growing up we did lots of board games and sometimes we made up games. These days it's things like Scattergories or Pictionary or whatever other game someone brings. It's been so long I forgot how to play some of these.

There is another dice game that is very fun and fast moving that we used to play. It's called Chase the Ace. It's really meant to be a drinking game, but it can be played as a non-drinking game by using poker chips in place of drinking cups of beer. We once broke a table leg at a friend's house when we played this. Everyone was pounding the dice cups on the table so hard trying not to get caught with 2 aces (ones) at once. I think when we used chips we decided on a certain number would be the loser. For example, whoever got up to 5 chips first was the loser.

I noticed the frost on the trees last night on the way home. It had been slightly foggy and it froze on the trees. You don't see this too often. If I was really ambitious, I'd find a place to take pictures by a woods, but I'm not that ambitious today.

I actually can't remember the last time I have ever slept past 9:00 in the morning. I got up this morning at 8:30 and almost freaked. lol I go to bed really late but still I have to get up early. I'm a night person, but yet I'm a morning person. Go figure. lol

I personally think 'sleep' is a waste of time. 24 hours in a day is to short to waste on doing nothing like sleep. lol

Really nice pics Carol. I totally could not believe I let my batteries run down in both my cameras here so I could go out and get some shots of the icy, snowy trees/branches. I always love to try to capture this on weeds early morning, love that 'look'.

Maybe next time.

Re: Wisconsin Chit-Chat & Daily Check-in...

I like sleeping, but I don't like wasting time. Unfortunately my body needs lots of sleep. I still need to figure out a way to live on 3 hours of sleep a night so I can get more done. I like to get 7-8 hours of sleep. Sometimes I end up with 6, but that's only because I'm not sleepy at bedtime.

Maybe I need to figure out a way to get things done in my sleep.

We have an old man that is a bit taller than me, Halloween animated statue thing down in the basement with very scary eyes. lol I know he is there but every once in a while I will catch him out the side of my eye and he gives me such a start! lol I think someone is down there with me!! lol lol

Last year I actually covered him with a plastic bag and I think I better remember to take another bag down with me to cover him again.

Re: Wisconsin Chit-Chat & Daily Check-in...

That reminds me of my halloween costume from this year. It even bothered me that the shoes were sticking out of the bedsheet that covered the costume. I had to pull it down over the shoes so that it didn't look like someone was sitting there hiding.

6 hours is about the norm for me I guess. Once in a while I find myself going to bed a bit to late and get only 5. I am fine with that little unless I sit down in the evening to watch T.V...I will fall asleep sitting there. lol

But most of the time I am great at just falling asleep during commercials and then wake back up for the show again. My son can't get over how I do that, but I tell him it's like mini naps I guess. lol

That didn't work as well for me last Thursday during Greys Anatomy I watch the first hour (it was a 2 hour show. crossing over with Private Practice this past week), and then when the second part at 9:00 came on I don't remember any of it. Lost the whole show. I woke up several hours later sitting up in the chair. I hate when that happens!

That reminds me of my halloween costume from this year. It even bothered me that the shoes were sticking out of the bedsheet that covered the costume. I had to pull it down over the shoes so that it didn't look like someone was sitting there hiding.
Isn't it funny how you KNOW it's there but still it can give you a scare when you least expect it? lol Kinda gets the heart pumping for a few minutes. lol

Re: Wisconsin Chit-Chat & Daily Check-in...

I think my husband did that years ago with an Halloween costume he left in the living room and came home late at night to see this "person" sitting in the chair. It gave him a scare.

OMG! I checked out the Bertha Butt Boogie video on Youtube. I like the song but the video was a bit too much to say the least! Yikes!

Re: Wisconsin Chit-Chat & Daily Check-in...

Hey all.. I had some extreme lower back pain, sweating, nausea.. thought it was a recurrence of the episode at CiCi's the other night.. went to doctor's yesterday, turned out I have a kidney infection, not to mention a case of mild bronchitis.. on antibiotics (Amoxycilin (sp?)). Anyway, have only been on a few times the last day or two.

Trying to get caught up.. be back in a bit!
