I feel your pain. I bought a new computer in Sept. and it came with Vista. I had to get updated drivers online for my camera, printer and the scanner. Only thing is the scanner driver doesn't work and HP said they would have it working by Oct. I just went there the other day and the updates still shows 2007. I see they kept their word. I can update to Windows 7 for free since I bought my computer right before the change. After talking to HP I found out they wouldn't be updating for Win 7. Jerks! My scanner isn't that old and I really like it so I don't want to buy another one.
There is something you can do to use the scanner without a driver installed. Go to start > windows gallery > File (menu) > import scanner > import.
I tried it last week and it works. It didn't have all the scanner options available but that's ok since I edit in Photoshop anyway.
I have so many complaints about this upgrade..... tried to go back to XP professional and it wont let me! ARGH!!! Pulling my hair out.
I see there's a post in "Other Pets" about tarantulas. I'm curious but I'm not even going to look at it. I would have nightmares for weeks if someone posted a picture of one and I saw it! I'm shivering just thinking about it! Yikes!
Anyways, I just remember growing up it was much colder and a ton more snow then we have today.
I don't remember colder when growing up, but I remember some winters with more snow or maybe it was just because I was shorter back then. Also our driveway would drift over so much so the foot of snow turned into 3 feet in places. That's what made it seem worse.

They don't last like they use to thank goodness.
Are you sure about that? Seems to last longer each year.
My coworkers are spoiling me again. One of the ladies made us all fuzzy scarves. I got a pretty blue one. My favorite color. Then she also made us some dishrags and doilies. That kind of crochet or knit stuff isn't my thing, but I'm sure my MIL would love them lol. Very nice of my coworker to do that. I'm glad I got the blue scarf because the other colors were neon green. Not sure what would match that color.

It sure feels like that when it's been 36 in the afternoons here for the last 2 days and the snow is melting down and the icicles are dripping. If I didn't know we were still in Jan and had weeks and weeks left of winter I would say it feels like very early Spring out today.

I'd say it's January thaw time. Don't be fooled. It'll be back to cold soon. I hate winters that skip the January thaw. Always seems to come in the middle of January.
My cousins are going to be here shortly!! I have not seen them in years. Reconnected thru Facebook yesterday and they already drove down from Ashland and will be here shortly.
They got lost and turned around in a Watertown stop and realized something was wrong with the sign read Hartford
