Re: Wisconsin Chit-Chat & Daily Check-in...
I did that one and it said my age was 3 months younger than my real age. Funny, most people in real life guess me to be 5-10 years younger. My outside must be better than my inside.

If you're interested and still haven't done it, here's how to start making some money from your posts thru revenue sharing (thanks to Keith's excellent post):
If you have a Google Adsense Account, you can put your Publisher ID in your profile (don't worry, no one will see it but you) and earn a few clicks from other users!
Here's how it works: You start a new thread. Someone replies to it. Once there's at least one reply, a google adsense bar shows up after the first post and at the end of the thread. If you've put your Publisher ID in your profile, then a third of the time, your ads will show up on the page instead of our ads. Also, there's a twenty percent chance that the last person to reply will have their ads show up, if they've added their Publisher ID.
That means that you can make money by posting to these forums. However, if I start seeing a lot of fluff posts that are obviously meant to show your ads and not contribute to the site at all, I will not hesitate to delete threads and ultimately ban people for abusing the site. That said, I hope to see that this will motivate even more on-topic posting!
It's set up so you will never see your own ads, so you are protected from violating Google's terms of service forbidding clicking your own ads. Watch out if you're browsing the forums not logged in, though!
You can sign up for an adsense account through http://www.google.com/adsense. To obtain your Publisher ID, log in to your account, go to "My Account". At the very bottom, it has the heading "Property Information". Under that are a few lines that might say things like "Adsense for Content". The Publisher ID number is the same across the board though. Take the part that starts with "pub" and all the way through the numbers, and paste that into your profile here (there's an example in your profile page).
|
$4.00 for 2 clicks, that's cool!
I've signed up or entered my id for the Revenue Sharing here I've only made around 23˘ for Oct so far
Would it be possible to add an adsense channel for the Revenue Sharing too? That way clicks can be tracked better.
I also need to get my adsense channels updated. I have some channels set up and others without a channel assigned to them.
By the way it's time for bed, good night everyone.

oh..that's not good. But look at the bright side, at least it did not say you LOOKED 73 when you are just 55.
Come to think of it, if that is your recent picture for an avatar you don't even look 55.

I'm always ready for the weekend. I think the weekend should be 5 days long and the work week should be 2 days.
Anyway, this should be a good weekend with a new band for me to check out in Madison.

You just volunteered!
I want to hear all about the band at WisMusic Wisconsin Music and Musicians, Wisconsin Bands, Concerts, Venues and Free Classifieds!
Your mission, should you choose to accept it.......

p.s.: Chica / Latina - once again, this thread was a great idea. Great way to talk and keep up with one another without simply jumping from thread to thread, more of an on-going chat.
That doesn't mean we don't want everyone jumping around from thread to thread!

I had it planned for the kids and I to go there for hamburgers but heard something about one of the two Culvers we have in our city that changed our minds. Apparently everyone had the flu that was working there. One girl was behind the counter ready to hand over a bag of food and threw up on the floor. The man left without the food. (I would too!).
Well hearing that and not knowing which Culvers for sure, well...a discount off a burger wasn't worth the chance of getting the flu. Not for us.

Re: Wisconsin Chit-Chat & Daily Check-in...
By the way...anyone get their flu shot yet? I noticed our K-mart was offering them for only 25.00 each, everywhere else wants 30.00. Guess it's best to check before you get one.

Re: Wisconsin Chit-Chat & Daily Check-in...
Thinking about shots..a friend of mine told me her husband just came down with a case of Shingles. Got me thinking about the Shingles shot they now have out. Anyone ever get one? The cost it pretty high..I think around 200.00 but I'm sure that is well worth it if it gets you away from a case of shingles.

Re: Wisconsin Chit-Chat & Daily Check-in...
I can remember a 5 cent hamburger promotion from Royal Castle in Miami when I was around 15-16... the line was 3 blocks long and people were limited to 20 burgers each. A girl I liked worked there at the time and the place was an absolute madhouse! Royal Castles were the southern equivalent of the White Tower chain.

Re: Wisconsin Chit-Chat & Daily Check-in...
My son works at culvers & brings home burgers, fries, chicken and i'm forever getting the flavor of the day leftover custard, so i didn't miss out yesterday, but to wait that long for less than $1 savings? not i.
Royal castle... is that like white castle? I dislike white castle burgers, but i know many who love them, my kids included.

Re: Wisconsin Chit-Chat & Daily Check-in...
Did someone mention Culver's? I did see that sign for $1 burgers yesterday, but I was on the way home from work and just wanted to get home. I also saw a sign for a free dessert at Maxim's Oconomowoc Depot (formerly called Mainstreet Depot). I love their desserts. I love free food even better.
Speaking of Culver's, does anyone go to the one in Johnson Creek? If you do, check out the artwork hanging on the walls. I did those drawings for them a few years ago.
ps. I just reached 100 posts!

Will do! Unfortunately we've lost about ten person/days the last week with the flu bug going around the office! Would've been done already otherwise; sorry

I've still got a wrapper somewhere for the free Hamburgers George Webbs gave away when the Brewers won, what was it, 12 or 14 in a row (to open the season!) a few - more than a few - years back! Very long lines for the freebies; had to do it for the experience, the celebration of winning so many in a row.
Regards,
Keith

p.s.: I've seen your posts here; at WisMusic Wisconsin Music and Musicians, Wisconsin Bands, Concerts, Venues and Free Classifieds, I know they'd be more than "the band was good / the band wasn't good" I've had trouble writing that kind of stuff when I was trying to be a critic. Did much better when I was writing just to tell some friends about it.
Way to go on 100 posts!

Even free I'd have to think pretty hard about it before going to George Webb. I have been there just a few times and each time my food was pretty bad.
