I'm a member on another smaller forum that has games on it that members jump in and participate from time to time. I get a kick out of some of the answers they put on. One that is a lot of fun is the never ending story line. The admin started a story and everyone adds one line to it. It has been going around and around for awhile. Others include word association, word morph, finish the sentence, etc. GoFLO.com - Index
Some games are very basic and you wouldn't think members would take part but they do and it is actually funny. Check it out sometime and see if there is anything that could be brought here. (goflo.com, forum section). While you are there add an answer to the games on there if you are interested. lol
Personally I think the never ending story would be fun here.
A question/answer game to learn more about each other could be fun even though I think most of us that has been around for awhile know some things about each other already, but still for newer members it would be a way to get to know others. I'm game for it...so, what's the first question?? boxer or briefs for the men? lol oh, not that kind of questions! Wrong game. lol

I think you & i have the same idea, some with purpose of getting to know one another & others just for kicks, never been on a forum that didnt have games & stuff like that... i will play with the idea from home later on.

I've been on a music forum that had different song games, but the person that ran that site didn't like us playing games because he didn't think it had anything to do with music. They were song games, how is that not music? It did get more people posting and more people coming on the site more often.

Just taking a break from video capture. Getting the last chapters of my book for an audio and a video version.
We use a teleprompter. It's nice because when I'm trying to figure out how to deliver the phrasing on the words I wrote, the camera seems to capture me as being thoughtful - instead of confused.

I been on a couple forums where admin didn't allow us to have off topic games or quizzes or would delete them once we would all get involved, though it wasn't taking away from the rest of the active site, which is why i was hesitant to start any here, but as you pointed out it does get people posting & wanting to join in if they are lurkers IMO it's also fun & you really do get to know more about each other that way.

I remember that topic before on another music forum I belong to. You get a bunch of musicians together and watch what happens hahaha. Lots of arguing, but in a friendly way.

Who wants to go to work for me today? I don't want to spend the afternoon working on colonoscopy forms. They never told me I'd be doing things like this in design class. Where are those fun posters and postcards to design hahaha. You just never know what customers will bring you.
The word colonoscopy sounds painful (i'm sure it is).
