Answer to the first question: NO! I don't even like doing mine, however I like shopping for myself.
Black Friday I've never gone out with all the nuts. I stay home. I have gone to the store around supper time on that day and the stores are nearly dead by then. I hate shopping in crowded stores.
I was thinking of doing more online shopping this year. Also, a trip to the liquor store fits everyone's list in my family. No complaints with those gifts
I'm already done. Just a few odd's n ends to pick up.....
Good morning. Glad to see the site is back up and running. I came home from a long boring meeting I had to go to last night with a bad headache thought I'd log on and unwind for a few mintues and sadly I could not get on here. Oh well, got extra sleep so all was not lost. lol

I'm thinking i will do mine online this year as well, after remembering the past, i've decided that shopping in crowds is NOT what i want to deal with.
Q&A could be fun...I say try it and see what happens. The worst possibility is that there's not a lot of participation, right? Not the end of the world as we know it.
Good morning! I feel the need for comfort food this morning, so I'm serving up my grandmother's fry bread--I'm even sprinkling it with sugar and cinnamon. A pot of strong coffee to go with and we're ready for whatever comes our way today.
Hey, Blue! Didn't see you there...haven't started your holiday shopping yet? Me either. I'm waiting till I'm in the mood. Could be spring before it's done. ;-)

I will still have to get some things from the stores, but even to get some things online is a big help. I was really liking the jewelry on the Hunger Site that someone posted in another thread. The other bonus is that it goes for a good cause if you buy something.
My parents are so hard to shop for. They have everything and I don't really like to add to the clutter in their house. Not that they are messy, but you know what I mean. They have enough stuff. Doesn't help either that my mom owns a craft store. Can't get anything like that or to decorate the house with. She has her own personal supply.

anyone have big plans for the weekend?
More shopping and going out to eat and see a band. My usual Saturday activity.

OMG I LOVE FRY BREAD!!! I have not made that in ages!
MMMMM Cinnamon Sugar is the best on it ~ IMHO
It looks like purple-aholics heaven. I don't think I'd want purple everything on a purple tree. Need to have some other colors in there.
I actually have home made ornaments I will be using. I pet sit for a lady who has everything purple and I had been wondering how she finds all that stuff....I think I know now.....

I have one thing that I picked up at Kohl's this summer. I have a few other ideas in my head, but haven't really sat down and thought about it. Also, we exchange lists in my family, which helps with some ideas. I try not to stick with the lists completely. I want to add a few surprises to the mix.
I always feel like when I buy something, the person is just going to hate it anyway and take it back. LOL, I'm so positive. That's probably because I end up taking back a few things every year. I will say that my husband does pretty good with mine. If he buys me clothes or jewelry, he almost always gets something I like. He knows my taste.

Me, too! Not exactly health food, but my oh my, it is GOOD. Cinnamon sugar is best...don't care for it any other way, but my grandmother used to put dried fruit in it sometimes. That always seemed like a tatoo on a baby's behind. Why add to something that's perfect the way it is?
uuummmmmmmm...................NO
I got that out of the way to avoid the horrible crowds, nasty weather, and the cold! LOL
I just need to go to the liquor store and get something for everyone LOL. That takes care of a few items. I bring my husband along to help with our shopping since he can find things for the guys, which really helps.

Just have to chuckle over that phrase...I use it all the time and my husband says "just exactly where else would your ideas be?" Smart butt.
I'm pretty sure that people return gifts I give, but I don't want to know about it. When I pick something out I put a lot of thought into it and am convinced it's the PERFECT gift. Ha! How's that for delusional?

I know what you mean. Meanwhile, I'm returning their gifts.
At least this year I have time to shop and even think about it. Last few years I've been so busy with homework, that I didn't even have time to think about shopping. Not much thought went into it the last few years and I'm sure it showed.
Just stopping by to say hello before heading out to see a couple of clients.
I'd say we're getting to know each other here... This thread was a heck of a good idea. I don't know of another like the one you're speaking of, Latina.
I wonder if a series of threads would be better, or a 'master' thread and a series. I just wonder how hard it would be for someone new to jump in once it started.
Whatever you all think, I'm sure they'll be good ideas.
