This type of thread almost reminds me of the thing we do on my graphic design forum every week. We always start it on Wed. and call it a "clink" since it's kind of like an online happy hour and a way to socialize. You can *clink* with whatever you want, soda, water, coffee, beer or mix drinks. It doesn't matter. Basically, it's for us to just talk about what we are doing on the upcoming weekend, what projects we are working on at home, or what is going on in our lives. Just about anything you want to talk about or joke about goes. It's a way for us to stay in touch with other members and take a break from the daily grind.

Atlanata....NO GAS

Friend of mine wrote saying the city is pretty much shut down. She can get to work tomorrow, but needs gas ASAP or wont make it all week

I have a few friends in Atlanta, they haven't had gas in weeks & she is a school teacher. They had to close the school on Friday because so many teachers had no gas & the bus company was starting to run out as well... it's crazy!!

Enjoyed chat today, i fell asleep during chat though lol my son logged me out when he got home, so he could use my pc... sorry that i fell out before saying bye guys, but i did enjoy the chat.

People not finding gas so they can get to work? Seems crazy. I'm excited the last few days seeing our prices here go down and down. I read that our area is the lowest in the state. .. and then some can't find gas? What is with that?

Makes me remember back in the early 70's when the lines at the gas stations that actually had gas would be so long. If we were at work and heard a gas station got gas in they would let us have some extra time at lunch to run and get in line and get filled up. Hope that doesn't start happening around here again.

Ohio State just gave Bucky the whatfor, Phillies slapped The Brew Crew around, and The Pack just isn't tightened up enough to beat the likes of The Atlanta Falcons.

Well, what are ya going to do...? Bucky Badger never saw it coming. The Brewers...they just missed on timing. Interim Manager Dale Sveum did the best he could in the time he had to do it. There's always next year!

Hope every one is using the Revenue Sharing feature here at the Bubbler.. I've had two different clicks from here in the last 3 days over $2 each!

If you're interested and still haven't done it, here's how to start making some money from your posts thru revenue sharing (thanks to Keith's excellent post):

If you have a Google Adsense Account, you can put your Publisher ID in your profile (don't worry, no one will see it but you) and earn a few clicks from other users!

Here's how it works: You start a new thread. Someone replies to it. Once there's at least one reply, a google adsense bar shows up after the first post and at the end of the thread. If you've put your Publisher ID in your profile, then a third of the time, your ads will show up on the page instead of our ads. Also, there's a twenty percent chance that the last person to reply will have their ads show up, if they've added their Publisher ID.

That means that you can make money by posting to these forums. However, if I start seeing a lot of fluff posts that are obviously meant to show your ads and not contribute to the site at all, I will not hesitate to delete threads and ultimately ban people for abusing the site. That said, I hope to see that this will motivate even more on-topic posting!

It's set up so you will never see your own ads, so you are protected from violating Google's terms of service forbidding clicking your own ads. Watch out if you're browsing the forums not logged in, though!

You can sign up for an adsense account through http://www.google.com/adsense. To obtain your Publisher ID, log in to your account, go to "My Account". At the very bottom, it has the heading "Property Information". Under that are a few lines that might say things like "Adsense for Content". The Publisher ID number is the same across the board though. Take the part that starts with "pub" and all the way through the numbers, and paste that into your profile here (there's an example in your profile page).

Hahaha actually I do get out on weekend nights. But, my job requires me to sit at a computer all day and then I come home to go on the computer some more. I hardly watch TV, so I figure what's the difference. Some people watch TV a lot and others are addicted to the internet like me. What takes up most of my internet time is an interactive chat site that I've been addicted to for almost 2 years (oh dear!) and then I have to stay in touch with everyone I met there through myspace, msn or email. I'm a busy girl.
