I don't like coke, however i have seen this list & others before.
I use coke only when i need to remove acid from a car battery or kill mice, works great for both!
I drink pepsi like it's going out of style... I'm a pepsiaholic!
I'm a Pepsiaholic, too. I'll drink Coke if that's what a restaurant has. I try to ask for Cherry Coke since it tastes better than just Coke. I guess because it's sweeter. I don't like Cherry Pepsi, though.
I would think Pepsi works just as good for all those remedies as Coke. It's about the same thing, just slightly different.
I just did a search of my name on Google before and the third item to come up is for some site that had an alcoholic root beer float recipe on it. It was from Twitter. I've never talked about root beer or alcohol on there. Not sure how that showed up. Also, it's for a site I've never been on or anything I ever looked up. Some doofus probably tweeted something I said that was unrelated and it wasn't even one of my followers. I can see employers doing a Google search and seeing that, and I had nothing to do with it.
Okay, today working in the garage, (because the chickens have to have names on thier house) I was working with letters & carbon paper, the 5 yr old asks. Whats carbon paper? I tell him it's kind of like magic & I showed him how it works, he says, " Grandpa thats not magic, it's science"! Jeez; I hate when they are right!!!

Hey Blue, just wanted to let you know that you were thought of tonight as I was eating dinner. lol The kids and I had grilled steak on the patio and as I was eating I made the comment that it was actually feeling 'chilly' out and I thought..oh no, Blue would laugh if she heard me say that! lol
It's funny how bubblerland gets caught up in our daily lives.

Wow, not sure if it's just me but it feels as if someone cranked up the clocks to make the days go by faster. Seems like July just flew by us. Can't believe only a few more weeks left before kids go back to school.

We sat out for a little while after bike riding last night. We were wearing sweatpants and sweatshirts. The dang mosquitoes were humming around our ears and annoying us. We didn't have the screens on the canopy obviously.
One of the things we really look forward to in summer is sitting on the deck at night. Often by the time we get out there after getting everything else done, it's not until after 8:00 pm. We have a string of lights on the canopy so we aren't sitting in the dark. This summer the nights have been chilly for sitting out. We haven't been out there as much and I'm feeling cheated out of one of our favorite things to do. That's the best time to be outside on the deck because it's quiet. All the neighbors are inside their houses, and you can listen to the crickets and watch the fireflies. Where are the crickets this year? I haven't heard any here yet.
I looked at the temps in Kenosha the other day and I think you have a bit warmer than us here. Most of our nights have been in the 50s. We had very few days over 80 this month. I think only about 6 or 7 and even then it's barely over 80. Not that I want it hotter than 85, just that I want my nights warmer. I can see it in the flowers at how slow some are. Some aren't even reaching their full size. I have caster beans and amaranth that I planted from seed and some years they are as tall as me or taller. This year they are only about 2 feet tall, if that. Small caster beans aren't impressive because it's their huge leaves that they are grown for.
If anything's a real sign a cool summer, the animals will let you know. I saw flocks of geese the last two nights flying over.

shhhhh, be quiet because I signed up for fall classes and I don't wanna do homework again.

I thought of a name for the bad sounding rooster. How about "dumb cluck."

I never thought about it until I read your comment, I have not heard one cricket this summer either.
I miss camping tho and it looks as if we won't have time to go this year and that is where I really love to sit and listen to the crickets. Well hopefully we will have more time next summer. I hate putting things off for another time but I guess you can only do so much in the few months we have for summer.

I also found it interesting. In fact I emailed them and requested a copy sent via email of the picture they mentioned. I am looking forward to see if they respond and what the photo really looks like.
I actually would be very interested to go on a tour to see if all does actually happen. Maybe a 'mini' tour for the first time tho, lol.
They give guided tours someplace in Burlington and you are able to bring your own cameras and then go back after the tour and everyone I think puts their photos on the computers and there is discussion about them and the guide points out interesting things in the pictures. Not sure if they still do this but I would really like to do something like that. If for no other reason it sure beats doing the same things that I do every week, grocery shopping, laundry, running kids everywhere...then throw in ghost hunting...kinda sounds like it could pick the week up a bit.
lol

We are going this coming weekend. Hope it doesn't rain otherwise we'll end up sitting in the bars down the road as there's nothing else up there by Waupaca. We planned on going to one of them anyway for a burger since I wanted to check it out anyway. I know camping and then going to get something to eat in town haha. To us it's a mini vacation. I love to sit around the campfire and burn things. Yeah, I'm part pyro.

A co-worker was saying that up north (where he is from) they seldom see seagulls until Winter is near & his family said last night that the seagulls have been around the last couple days.
Good morning. I slept in until 8:30 this morning and when I got up, I was so dizzy that I could barely keep my balance. I'm still feeling quite light headed...and no, I don't have a hangover either. The last time I felt like this was about three years ago and that time I passed out and fell face down on the bedroom rug and ended up with a rug burn on my nose! The doctor checked me over and said it was probably caused from exhaustion so maybe that's what it is again since I stayed up all night on Tuesday. So, I'm thinking I should stay home instead of going with my hubby to Lancaster later. Now where is my blankie and pillow at?
How do you post a picture on here? I know how to put them into the gallery since I've done them there before, but not onto this forum. I have an interesting picture I was thinking of posting from my sister's retreat.
Just use the little icon at at the top of the box you type your text in. If you mouse over it says insert image. That's the icon that looks like it has mountains on it.
I found this by accident when looking for something else. Here's a little tour of some of the places in town here where I live. The first photo is of one of the murals in town. We have a number of other murals downtown. They started that about 10 years ago I think. The mural in the photo is Miss Watertown holding glass of water and it's located on Water St.
The next pictures talk about Fendt Bros. meat market. The person that posted is wrong though, Glen's market has the best brats in town. Fendt's is more known for it's wieners. That's my opinion though.
Next, that cool ice cream shop is also a fave with many. Mullen's Dairy just like the old days. They used to serve the shakes in old fashioned metal cups. They still have fresh roasted nuts.
Farther down you'll see Upper Krust restaurant. They're food is ok, but not the best I've had. Hard to top Norske Nook pies up north. I've heard the bunch is good though, just a limited menu otherwise as far as dinners go. The pies are usually good, but like I said I'm spoiled by Norske Nook pies.
Okay lets see if I can get this picture to post here.
I took this photo during the "girl's retreat" a week ago with my digital camera. We were all surprised when we saw what appears to be an image of something surrounding one of my sisters. I took several other pictures of her in the same area before and afterward and there was nothing like this in any of those photos. She had lit the campfire about 15 minutes earlier but as you can see there wasn't much smoke coming from it at all. So....what are your thoughts about the "image" that seems to be enveloping her? Any ideas or theories would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you are feeling better after a days rest Cindy, i know exhaustion can be a b*tch!

One of my co-workers was born & raised in Watertown & talks about it all the time. I've heard him mention some of the places named here before... I'll have to check it out from home, the pics dont seem to be working here at work I stopped in at that nice little micky d's in Watertown last weekend.
