The mosquitoes have been bad this year by our house. They are the kind that come out any time of day and even when you stand in the sun. Usually we just get the ones that come out at night. I'm constantly slapping while I water flowers. It's so annoying listening to that huummmm. I need some hungry bats in my yard.
We haven't had hardly any mosquitoes in our area. Maybe it's been too dry for them here? Or maybe we have more bats than you do? You are welcome to come and take some bats home with you Blue. We had a few get inside several years back so we hired a guy to "bat proof" our house and so far they haven't been back. He put in one-way doors for them to get out of at the spots where they were coming in so they could no longer get in that way plus he sealed up any other cracks so they couldn't sneak in another way. Hopefully they stay outside!
I have no idea what the temp is today but I know it feels really cool in the house. This has been such a great summer so far. I love when it doesn't hit the higher temps very often. Really nice to sleep at nights when it is cool and we have really been saving $$ with the fact that we have turned the air cond on only a few times.

I can sleep in any weather. Temp doesn't matter unless I'm cold and can't get warmed up like in winter. I should put that under the pet peeves, people that say, "this is good sleeping weather." ALL weather is good sleeping weather to me. Too hot to sleep? Not as long as there is A/C or a fan. I never sleep with the A/C on any way. I open the windows then. Something about waking up to cold A/C bothers me.
I wish it was warmer today, can't even open the windows. I drank a hot chocolate earlier and I haven't had one since May. I'm almost in the mood for a pot of chili. Today's weather is messing me up. I should be craving brats and corn on the cob.
Misty finally got called into work.. starts tomorrow and will be working a 40 hr week, 9-5.. that means the kids will be at the babysitter's, she'll be at work, and I'll be able to get some work done.. ahhhhh!

I can pretty much sleep anywhere..(guess that is why I fall asleep in front of the computer all the time) lol But one thing I do like best is a cool, not cold, room. I hate it if the room is so hot that you can feel the heat pressing in on you. eck. I also hate a fan right on me and our air doesn't work well upstairs here. So when it's cool out I love it the best and think it's the best sleeping condition. But as I said, I can sleep almost anywhere.
Another great time to sleep is in a camper when it's raining out. Love to hear the rain on the roof when falling asleep. Oh now that is really nice... especially on a cool night.

I took a load of yard sale stuff to St. Vincent's in Muscoda yesterday and another one today. I can finally use my front porch again. I'm so glad that's all done with now.
Has anyone seen the new Harry Potter movie yet? I want to go to it tonight but no one here wants to go with me, so I guess I will be going solo. We have a really small theater here and only one showing of it at 7:00 so I am thinking there will be a long line there tonight. I should probably head up there soon if I want to get in to see it or even be able to park close. They are tearing up half the streets in town so it makes finding a parking spot even more difficult.
Didn't see the Harry Potter movie yet but I warn ya, don't watch that Bruno movie. UNLESS your ok with strange stuff with sex. In my opinion it's mild++ xxx. It is funny at times but wow it's just too odd of a movie to watch again.
I didn't care for Borat so don't see myself watching Bruno.. not too much of a one for crude humor..

I was outside yesterday and found a cedar waxwing nest in my tree. Thought that was pretty cool since we get so many grackles, robins and mourning doves nesting here. Nice to have a cool bird once instead of the common ones.
That reminds of the time I was telling someone about all the cedar waxwings in my neighbor's crab tree in the spring. She asked me if they were bugs. LOL
Hopefully it will be a nice day out today, my grandson is playing violin at a concert in the park today. Lots of activities going on in Kenosha this weekend.

I woke up at 5 am this morning.. my legs hurt so bad I couldn't lay down, sit, and could barely stand.. after a hot shower and some meds, I am down to "manageable" Somedays I feel like I am in such terrible shape!

I HATE BATS! They are soooo bad in the portage area!

I sleep with the fan & air on in the summer & in the winter both windows open & the fan, either way i am bundled up with a bunch of blankets, which is weird since i hate heat with a passion... so I can sleep like a baby if it's freezing cold & i'm under a bunch of blankets... i'm strange, i know lol

So did everyone have a great weekend? We had several festivals going on in Kenosha this weekend that was nice. Festival of Flowers in Lincoln Park and then the Art and Craft Festival in Library Park. Both are always favorites of mine. The one in Library Park seemed a bit smaller this year but still plenty to look at.
Has anyone noticed how quickly this summer is going? Seems like we just started and it's already the 20th of July. Where is is all going??

Yeah i wouldnt watch Bruno if i was you. you have to enjoy crude humor to really like it... I do enjoy stuff like that & i was intoxicated & still it was hard to watch... funny but so dumb you couldnt help but laugh.
Borat was also a dumb one, but not anywhere near as sexual as Bruno.

Dave, just wondering, do you have fibromyalgia or something else that makes you hurt like that? Just wondering as you posted other times about being in pain. I hope you are doing better today.

Always fun to see new types of birds. I love Robins and especially our few morning doves though.
We had a member (Laurie) that I miss alot. She would post so many pictures in the gallery of her garden and birds she would find outside. If you ever go into the gallery here try to find her and check some of her pictures out. Very nice.
