I was up until after 3am being supportive to a drunk friend in need of venting & crying her eyes out... Depressed people have no business drinking when i have to work the next morning.
Next time get her drunker so she passes out and sleeps it off LOL.
I just found more ants coming in my house last night by the wall near the front door. BTW PK, the spraying the floor with vinegar doesn't work, neither does cinnamon. I sprinkled it right on their ant hills outside and they walk right through it. The Terro bug and slug powder I bought doesn't work either. I've sprinkled it 3 times and the slugs still chew up leaves and the ants still dig holes. I think Menards should give me my money back for that.

Wow you must have mighty ants, capable of going through anything. lol Just wondering did you try the red pepper? Well when you find something that works, please let us all know. Cuz I think these ants are just laughing at you. lol

I know the Bayer ant killer works well for outside. That is if I can find a store in "Watertucky" that sells it and doesn't charge double of what other places out of town sell.
Good morning everyone! It looks like a lovely day out there!
Ouch...I can barely move this morning! I way over did it on the yard work yesterday! Too much mowing, weeding, spraying weeds, and transplanting flowers I guess. I think I will be taking it a bit easier today although I do need to get groceries so I have something nice to make for our anniversary dinner tomorrow night. I'm thinking maybe filet mignon sounds good.
I had cake for breakfast. Still working on eating my birthday cake from last week. It takes a while with only 2 people to eat it.
Well I'm off to go check the job sites to see what jobs aren't posted. With any luck I might find a job by the end of the year. I'm so frustrated about the whole thing. My husband and I had a big discussion last night about how it doesn't matter what we do or where we go because it's always in the back of our minds. We can never enjoy ourselves completely. Go on vacation, go out to eat, watch a movie or try to read a book, doesn't matter it's always on our minds. It really does suck the life out of a person and often makes me feel unmotivated. I've been through way too many job lay offs in the last 7 years, I think I deserve a break and someone else needs to have something happen. Not wishing bad luck on others, but I took my turn several times and could use some good luck.

Breakfast will be a bit tricky today. Forgot to stop at the store and now we don't just not have OJ but milk as well. lol I think the store trip better happen today.

I feel the same way. At least the last 7-8 years have been that way. Each new year's we think the coming year will bring us better luck and then something else happens. No, I'm not being negative, I'm being realistic. It's just all kinds of crap has happened that makes me wonder what I did that I am being punished so. I think there should be more good luck mixed in the bunch, especially for all the effort I've put into things.

Or new products to try. Or something that you haven't had in a while. This is the reason I don't like to shop with my husband. We spend more when we shop together.
I've read that if you shop less often you spend less on food. Like the people that shop every 2 weeks or less. Less time to get tempted I guess.

I'm sure the neighbor has to know. Their tree that they tie the dog to is close to our lot line. If they shortened the leash, he'd be left with 2 feet of leash. They would have to move him farther over. Not a whole lot trees in his yard to choose from, but not my problem. He could put in something to tie the dog to other than a tree.
silly me....I wasn't even thinking or imagining the dog's tie-out was attached to a tree. (we don't have big trees in my yard, a couple palms maybe.....) It seriously never occured to ME that he was just wrapping a cord around a tree trunk.
When I have ever used a yard tie-out, it was stationed from a STAKE in the ground. Widely available at any Walmart, Target, etc.

Blue Angels week here, so lots of fancy Navy planes flying past my house practicing before the big "hometown" show this Saturday.
Scallop season opened on July 1st.....some friends of mine are doing it this week, wish I could go with, want to SOON!!!! Snorkel is ready! So is the butter and lemon!
Where's tamed? I'm at the worried point now and I think I may have to CALL her!
