What's up everyone? Hotter than the dickens still down here. Watching that little "disturbance" in the Carribean.......wishing it away. Too early for a hurricane, I'm not ready yet.
Hope to never have the chance to be in a hurricane.
Today was cooler in the low 80's here so it was nice out. But it's been raining most of the evening. Guess the yards, flowers, gardens needed it to refresh from the last week of hot weather.

You guys aren't really trying...I won $500 in an instant scratch off ticket, about 1 month before I moved back to La Crosse, WI from Mankato, MN about 4 years ago...it paid for most of my 1st month's rent...Sweet luck.

Looks as if everyone is sleeping in this morning. lol No breakfast waiting. lol Guess I'll go find some OJ on my own then. lol
Haven't looked around outside yet but I can see it's sunny out. It rained all evening not sure about the night. Hope it doesn't turn hot and humid like it does many times after a rain.
Well, lots to do today. Hope everyone has a great day.

The last time I won $500 was on a trivia question for a promotion at a casino event..
The question was "What did the wicked witch want to do to the tin man"?
I didn't know the answer but someone behind me (probably a plant) did and whispered the answer to me.
My girlfriend at the time was in the restroom. We were busted that night and ready to go so the $500 was a nice way to end the evening.

Morning, all.. it's Sunday. Time for breakfast here.. french toast, yum!
Good morning! Since Toes didn't make breakfast yet, I guess I will just have to eat a bowl of Cheeries.
We had so much fun at our family reunion yesterday in Mt. Horeb. The heat didn't stop the younger people, and a few of the older ones, from playing volleyball. Of course my hubby is complaining about being sore today though. I warned him but of course he didn't listen. He thought he had to show our two sons that he could still play as well as them. LOL The rain managed to stay away until it was time to load the van to come back but it totally missed us here at home.
Well, my hubby had a service call to go to at the Dells and my son already left for work so I'm home alone. I am thinking I may head to Spring Green for the Arts and Crafts fair at Peck's Farm Market. I love to go and look at the different crafts for sale. They have the best barbecued pork sandwiches there too! It's also fun because you get to ride in a wagon to the fair from your car so you don't have to walk or carry your purchases a long way. There is also a show in downtown Spring Green today, but that is more of the "artsy" kind of stuff that is really expensive so I avoid that one.
Have a great day...looks like the weather is supposed to cool down this coming week with highs in the 70's again. Yay!

awwwww.....I'm so sorry! I had an "accidental" day off, due to cancelations, so 1st my doggies let me sleep until about 7:30! 2nd, called a friend of mine to see if she wanted to go kayaking.....so off we went at around 9am! The water was calm when we headed out, but about 1/2 way into it the wind picked up and we stopped for a bit along the shoreline, then thought we better head back......
Good thing! We were literally riding waves on the way home, quick trip! HA!
Glad we didn't flip!
And then I basically goofed off the REST of the day. Nice. Just me & the dogs. Needed the peace and quiet.
Couldn't get any "outside" yard work done, too hot, dangerously so.
Glad things are cooling off a bit up north for ya'll.
I hope everyone has a good week, 4th of July almost here and I have a full schedule!
I can't believe it's almost July already.
nite nite!

I found out about Mays on Twitter yesterday around noon. That's also how I found out about Farrah. My husband told me about MJ when he got home around that time it came out on the news.
Now some people on my Twitter follows are reporting a car accident for another Twitter friend of theirs. I went to that person's page to see the last few tweets. It's kind of creepy because the person is gone, but their account is still there like they are still here. No idea who the person is.
I saw that about Mays and don't wish anyone dead but found his commercials annoying.
He is well known for selling many products in the most annoying (YELLING) way. He was so annoying in fact, that he was hired by many for that exact reason, it made him memorable.
sad loss to his loved ones.
It's a 4 day work week again... thank god!!
Not sure if i will be in IL for the weekend of the fourth now, kinda want to stay home, after having such an eventful few days this past weekend... i'm sure that will change by Wed
88 degrees at 8:30 here in the 64836 where I live.. I didn't go out much today but can attest to the fact that for the few minutes I did get to out earlier, it was hot, bright, and very uncomfortable.
On the other hand, Misty keeps my thermostat at 66 degrees and the fans going so it's either roast or freeze around here.
brrrr 66 is too cold for the A/C. I keep mine at 75 so I can still wear shorts in the house. I don't even like going into the stores that have it so cold.
