I still haven't found that firefly that was in my bathroom last night. I was going to rescue him and let him outside, but he didn't stay put long enough for me to get dressed after the shower.
Oh more sad news in Hollywood today. Farrah Fawcett is died at 62. I guess Charlie's Angel became a real angel today.
And now you can add Michael Jackson to the list. So sad. I loved the Jackson Five when I was younger. The world will miss his talent.
BTW...why is it that when celebrities die it always goes in threes? Weird.
Yesterday shortly after Farrah's death was announced I said something to another person about 2 celebrities in one week and that things happen in 3's. I asked who was next? I said it might be Swayze. Little did I realize how soon number 3 would come and not who I was thinking it would be.
Odd thing is I said a few years ago that Michael Jackson would die when there was a discussion on which famous people would die that year. I wasn't far off. It was his troubled life that I blamed it on back then.
Saw that Lisa Marie was saying that Michael feared ending up like Elvis. Also saw that they took his doctor's car to check for and medications or whatever might have led to Michael's death.
Haven't been able to sleep the last couple hours, and all that's on TV is Michael Jackson and informercials. Where are the Golden Girls, or even Three's Company?
So, gave up and made coffee.
If I would have had the time, I would have thought Swayze as well, I came home to hearing the news on both. I swear....I shook my head and went "Whaaaaaaaat?"
I knew about his drug problem and past cocaine abuse (nose cartilage anyone?), but it was still unexpected.
Sad that I really had to SEARCH to find news about Farrah.
So, how is everyone? I have the luxury of sleeping in today, so of course I can't.
I gave up and got up and made coffee.
I guess I'll sit out here on the porch and watch the sun rise, ain't all bad.
Not in the mood to make breakfast though, sorry.

We're still in hot & humid land, and in the background just as I typed that, I heard on the Weather Channel there is some sort of "disturbance" in the Carribean. Crap. Better go investigate THAT! And remember to put bottled water and batteries on my hurricane supply list.

These are the tropical waves I DO NOT like. They drift up into the Gulf and go straight north (me). Said it'll drift into the Gulf Sunday....which means a few days of play in the warm waters there, meaning IF it turns into something it will be just in time for 4th of July weekend, in which I am fully booked of course. I have a "rule" in my pet-sitting biz, you HAVE TO come home and evacuate your own animals. So my job during hurricane season can be just a tad stressful.
I don't think I can fit 50 animals in my CAR.....
Maybe I WILL hit Walmart today and replentish my supplies.......and organize my "safe room".
OK, I give.....OK I am making toasted whole wheat bagels with cream cheese and fresh fruit. I have some oranges lined up for juicing........

Thanks for the offer to make breakfast but we are eating at McDonald's this morning. We're picking up the 4 year old granddaughter to take her to our family reunion today. She loves McDonald's and never wants to go anywhere else.
The weather has been really HOT here! In the 90's the last several days. I got a bit over heated the other day when I mowed the lawn...and it was at 7:00 in the evening! Plus it was so long that I had to rake it all up besides. Blah! On the flip side that little Miller I had afterward sure tasted good! There is a chance of severe storms this afternoon. I sure hope it holds off until after the reunion!

Slept in too long this morning. Eck I hate sleeping in but guess I needed it.
We went up by Wausau yesterday to visit friends. Had so much fun seeing them. I always do everything I can to convince them to move back down here where they belong. lol Houses are much higher here than up there though. But I laugh and remind them that 'life' is more fun down here! lol
Wow, I have no idea what people do for music once you get out of the area around Milwaukee! We drove for hours up there and coming back just punching the scan button looking for something good to listen too! lol I wanted some Black Eye Peas for sure by the end of the day.
Kelly, I thought of you when up there yesterday and wanted to call you but didn't have your number with me. It was such a quick trip and we didn't really know for totally sure until almost the last minute that we were coming. Next time we do so I will contact you ahead of time and we need to meet up. Love to see your fish! And cats!
Well, now that I'm up so late I have to rush this morning. Time doesn't wait for anyone while they sleep in. lol

what an awesome weekend so far, took Friday off of work, bestfriend came to visit from IL Thursday evening and will head back home today. we shopped and ate out every meal yesterday, went out with our co-workers from back in the day, in the evening. very enjoyable weekend! Tonight is another busy evening for me with friends, i almost want everyone to come here so i can avoid another hot evening outdoors lol but i dunno what we will do.
Dang laptop only wants to connect in the bedroom lately for some reason, but i wont complain, considering i don't pay for access, thanks to the neighbors unsecured lines lol
Yeah, my neighbor's wireless is unsecured too.. I could save $60 a month by leeching her Internetz.

Point: it is just a myth that celebrities die in 3's!
One more point: what time period should we use to test this myth? Do 3 celebrities have to die in the same day, on consecutive days, within 7 days?
What is really happening here is that when 3 well known celebrities die in a short time frame, we think that is the way it usually happens. But we ignore the times it doesn't happen that way...which is most of the time.
I bought 3 Florida Fantasy Five (daily draw) tickets yesterday and all 3 won! I have no idea why I bought 3.....AND paid the extra $1 a piece to play the instant game as well. Won $2, $3 & $5 on each ticket instantly, then on the draw later, I won a free ticket on 2 and $555.00 on the 3rd one!
I usually just buy them as an afterthought when I buy Sat. Lotto, 1 or 2 of them MAYBE.
I am buying 3 from now on!

When my bff would visit she would have to connect from neighbors since charter had mine blocked... so when my pc blew up & i got a laptop i had already disconnected from charter. Call it leeching if you must but saving money is smart imo plus it's a sports bar i get the connection from so it most likely wouldn't matter to them anyway lol
Took a nap & now gotta get ready to catch up with wherever i was suppose to be hours ago... might have to cancel, i have no urge to leave home now.
We have aPowerball for tonight.. be nice to actually win something!
We have the girls at their aunt's tonight and Misty is here with the 2 year old.. maybe we'll get to sleep in a bit in the morning..
